Ok, so Hussie DID update with caused lots of butthurts and bawing. So much baaawing I even IM'd my friend at 1am so we could baw together. It's also sad to realise that the entirety of Homestuck happened on John's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAMP. I was unable to get anyhting nerdy like Gushers or Tab or Betty Crocker mix. Ah well~ EDIT: And to pacify the masses of people going GDI HUSSIE WHERE IS MAH COMMEMORATIVE ANNIVERSARY FLASH YAAAGH this surfaces which ... hasn't pacified anyone. |

RIP Dwayne McDuffie He was the guy who did Static Shock and worked on JLU. I barely remember those shows except that I thought they were the shit back in the day. I've been doing some poking around and he seemed like a genuinly awesome and funny guy. To say he will be missed is an understatement. ;_; So, uh, it also snowed for a minute this afternoon.

Last night my friend and I went to a pre-screening of the Mechanic. Before hand I dropped off my glasses at Lenscrafters and got dinner. It was an interesting experience since I have shitty eyesight. @_@ After that we went to the pre-screening. ( tldr Save your moneyCollapse ) Then I go home to find out that Robotomy has been cancled. First it had no ads until a week before it premired, then virtually none while it was airing, and now this? It didn't even get a proper season, unless 5 half-hours is a season nowadays. >:/ Right when the show hit its stride and was becoming good. How can you cancle a show with special guests like Lil'John and Gilbert Gottfried and Eliza Dushku? HOW CAN YOU CANCLE SUPERJAIL LITE my god I have so many asspains wtf Uh yeah, I got a My Little Pony toy from McD's (Fluttershy, hell yeah!) and my plant is starting to sprout. So far it has five little sprouts. |

You know what the best part about watching Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is? Watching it buzzed. Know what the bad part is? My buzz dying right before THAT FUCKING ENDING. GODDAMN. Why must everything end in a fucking dance number? And wtf was with the Underland fashions? Choose an era and STICK WITH IT. Don't choose from like, four eras goddamn. And then she like, defies Victorian mores and does what no woman could do until the 60's/70's? I would say I need a drink but somehow more alcohol doesn't seem to be the answer. Just. holyshit EDIT now that I'm alcohol-free: Not to be a Negative Nancy, there were things I enjoyed about this movie. The sets and costumes were superb, as was the CGI. They were all top notch. Any enjoyment I got out of those were smooshed by flat characters and kinda dull plot. Alice's stiff acting didn't help a bit. I enjoyed the Knave and White Queen, though. I just mad cuz they wasted a lot of potential. :< /butthurts |

Catching Fire: 41 of 42 holds on 11 copies NOOOOOOOOOOO D: This is mega butts since the library has 119 copies of the Hunger Games. Yes, I finally got around to reading this book and oh my god this shit is exactly what I've been waiting for since forever. It's like all those kickass cyberpunk/dystopia books/movies we've seen but with a female protagonist (!) and she isn't useless (!!) and romance is secondary and even then an important plot point (!!!11). What I'm trying to say is, WHY DOES MY LIBRARY ONLY HAVE 11 COPIES AND WHY AM I SO LATE TO THE GAME (nopun) GAAAAAH. In other news, Finn's hair holy shit. And I want Emily Browning for Katniss because uh, I love her :X EDIT: In an totally unexpected and surprising twist, I put my hold on the LARGE print version, not the regular. So instead of being 41 in the queue I'm 237 and there are 110 copies instead of 11. Yay I think?My friend also logged into msn for all of 1 minute to tell me that Thurop was on AT. |
