  • I gave in and finally got a Tumblr account. I'm humble-narrator over there. Drop me a comment with your username and I'll add you and actually start posting things. Maybe.

  • This past week I've become unhealthily obsessed with Marina and the Diamonds' album (The Family Jewels). I bought it on a whim and thought it was ok the first time I listened. Then I gave it another shot and now it's been playing on a continuous loop on my iPhone. I can't even put in to words how much I love this album. Check it out if you haven't already. ♥

  • On the other end of the musical spectrum, I also bought The Decemberists' new album. I love this band, they are my all-time favorite, but I'm having a really difficult time wrapping my head around this new style of theirs. I don't hate the album by any means, I just...it'll take a while to get used to, is all. :|

  • I started watching Fringe and I really am enjoying it so far. ( WALTER!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ). I'm still in season 1, so I'll probably have more thoughts once I'm all caught up.

  • This fills me with so much fucking rage. WTFFFFFFFFFFF is wrong with these people?! Yes, let's make rape victim's lives even harder, shall we? UGHHHH!

Tonight's speech from Obama had me close to tears. I'm so happy to have a leader who is articulate and can deliver an inspiring speech about such a sad, horrible situation. Bravo, Mr. Obama. Stay classy.

Preview of Me: The 2011 Edition

  • Faster. Stronger. - For the first time in a long time I'm content with my body. The only thing that's missing is some muscle and strength. I get winded so easily that I quickly get discouraged by exercise. My goal this year is to stick to stuff that is fun but good for me. From yoga, to dancing, to even something as simple as a quick bike ride or an hour of Wii-Fit. I think doing stuff like this is much more realistic and less daunting than an expensive gym membership I never take advantage of.

  • More courage - I honestly don't know why I'm so shy/scared about certain things in life, it's just how I've always been. Like my exercise goal, I'm going to start doing small things to build up more courage.

  • Actually FINISHES projects - I have so many grand ideas over the course of a year, but it is very rare that I actually see them through. This year I'm going to actually write down my ideas and treat them like my "to do" list I have at work.

  • No longer a slave to the 40 hour work week - One of my biggest issues right now is that by the time I get out of work I am so tired and beat down that I cannot even fathom doing anything else with my day. I get up, go to work, come home, watch some TV, and am in bed by 10:00. Days are beginning to run together and I'm not living life to the fullest. It sucks. I'm hoping my little exercises will increase my energy so I actually feel like doing things again.

  • Better friend (both offline and on) - This is sort of related to my last item, but this past year I felt I failed in the friend department. It's just so easy to let the months slip away, and it was especially rough for a few months after my last boyfriend.

  4. Add all of Doctor Who to Netflix Instant Queue. Add series 1 & 2 as well so I can refresh myself.

  5. See an icon for Misfits on my flist from the corner of my eye.

  6. Watch all of Misfits

Hahaha. Oh, self. I kill me. Never change. ...Seriously though, I will catch up on Doctory Who! Promise! I think Misfits was just a little less intimidating because it only has 10 episodes so far.
