What Type of Review is Best for Your Project?

Developing Your Research Question

A systematic review research question must be narrow, just as a research question for most other research projects.

Too Broad Probably Still Too Broad Narrow  Enough
Do cancer treatments cause eye problems? Does a single course of radiation cause vision loss? What is the incidence of vision loss related to single course treatments of radiation for early stage glottic cancers?
Why? There is no way you could do a systematic review on this. There are too many kinds of cancer and treatments, and too many possible eye problems. Why? This is more narrow, but will  be huge undertaking. It could possibly be done with the correct study design, but it is better to narrow it down a bit more.  Why? This is perfect. It narrows the treatment down to radiation, the type of eye problem down to vision loss, and the cancer  down to early stage glottic cancers
