The Library is a subscriber to BMJ Case Reports, one of the biggest venues for publishing case reports. Students, residents, and faculty can submit case reports to BMJ Case Reports for free. This doesn't guarantee that the journal will accept your report for publication; you must still pass their peer review process to ensure that your case is clinically significant and well-written. To submit a case report to BMJ Case Reports: Check their Instructions for Authors to ensure that your submission conforms to all of their guidelines and requirements. Be sure to use their case template for Microsoft Word. Submit your draft through their submission system by creating an account here. Contact the library at ShvBMJCaseReports@lsuhs.edu to receive a special code which can be used during submission to waive the usual fee.
