We are trained to elevate ourselves—to prove our worth, defend our name, and secure our place. We want promotion without humiliation, and blessings without breaking. Pride blocks the flow of grace; humility opens the way.

God draws near to the lowly, not the lofty.

Like a child who stops striving and reaches upward, humility positions us to receive. God does not answer prideful prayers—He answers surrendered hearts.

Because of His finished work, we can bow without fear—knowing the One who stooped to save us will raise us in His time.

What pride are you still holding before God? What expectations, demands, or silent insistence that He do things your way? You don’t need Christ just to answer your prayers—you need Him to humble your heart. Today, before you ask for anything, bow. Let your posture teach your soul: He is God, and we are not.

  • Is there no clergyman in this village who can pray? I can do nothing here!

Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
JOHN CHRISTOPH BLUMHARDT was born in Stuttgart, July 16, 1805. He began to preach in 1828. He had a strong faith in God—a faith that took absolute hold on the promises of the Word and rested upon them in calm confidence. After a short service as pastor of Iptingen, in 1838 he removed to Mottlingen, a village in the Black Forest of the kingdom of Wurtemberg. The whole place was pervaded with a spirit of vice and superstition. Unbelief was rampant; the vilest uncleanness almost universal, and a sort of spiritism, or practice of the old incantations of the black art, prevailed to an astonishing degree. As the darkest hour is just before the dawn, so the most terrible manifestation of Satan’s power was to precede the coming of the Holy Ghost upon the sinful village.

    KATARINA DITTUS.
Gottliebin and Katarina Dittus, two sisters in Mottlingen (Germany), were strangely and un- accountably affected by Satan’s power. For a period of two years Blumhardt had them constantly on his mind, and presented them to God in prayer. But all this time they grew worse, and the attacks became more frequent. To careful observers the symptoms appeared to coincide with those of the demoniacs in the time of Christ. All medical treatment was unavailing, and at last the physician, ap- palled by the manifestations, exclaimed, “Is there no clergyman in this village who can pray? I can do nothing here!” With characteristic modesty Blumhardt wished to retreat, but some of his people said to him, “If you do not want to shake our faith in your preaching, you cannot retreat before the evil one.” After a little time he replied, “You are right; but to be in accord with the Word of God you also must unite with me in supplication, according to James 5: 14.”

Prayer was made and the fulfilment of the promise claimed. But Satan would not give up without a struggle. Katarina’s symptoms became terrible, almost beyond belief. Several strong men were obliged to hold her in a chair, and even their efforts were unavailing to control the frightful convulsions and contortions which racked her body. Through an entire night this continued, Blumhardt praying unceasingly and with rising faith.

An unnatural voice, not her own, would speak from the poor woman’s throat and strive to engage the pastor in argument or conversation; but he steadily prayed on. This voice distinctly proclaimed its Satanic origin, and at intervals gave utterance to a horrible cry of despair and fear, which issued from her mouth, without any intermission, for a quarter of an hour at a time. Again the voice addressed Jesus, demanding that, as he (the voice), was a high minister of Satan, Christ should not compel him to leave this woman in the ordinary way; but that he should cast him out by some wonderful and mighty miracle. Still the pastor prayed, and toward morning the struggle culminated, the demon was vanquished and cried out, with a great and terrible cry, heard by almost the entire village, “Jesus is Victor! Jesus is Victor!”
When the sun arose the afflicted one was whole. During the whole of Blumhardt’s life, the humble, grateful woman, who was afterward happily married, labored with the pastor for the souls and bodies of the hundreds who came to Bad Boll; and now upon her tomb- stone we may read the words that marked her marvellous deliverance, “Jesus ist Sieger’ (Jesus is Victor).

To careful observers the symptoms appeared to coincide with those of the demoniacs in the time of Christ. All medical treatment was unavailing, and at last the physician, ap- palled by the manifestations, exclaimed, “Is there no clergyman in this village who can pray? I can do nothing here!” With characteristic modesty Blumhardt wished to retreat, but some of his people said to him, “If you do not want to shake our faith in your preaching, you cannot retreat before the evil one.” After a little time he replied, “You are right; but to be in accord with the Word of God you also must unite with me in supplication, according to James 5: 14.” Prayer was made and the fulfilment of the promise claimed. Jesus is Victor!” When the sun arose the afflicted one was whole. Generational Curses, Unclean Things, Familiar Spirits, Tattoos, Media, Doors, and Freedom in Jesus Christ

We need to speak plainly about something many believers do not handle carefully enough: spiritual contamination. Some people live in repeated cycles and never ask why. The same patterns keep showing up in the family. The same bondage keeps returning. The same anger, addiction, poverty, lust, brokenness, fear, and confusion keep appearing from one generation to another.

The Bible does not teach fear. It teaches discernment. The Bible does not teach superstition. It teaches holiness. The Bible does not teach legalism. It teaches freedom in Christ.

This is not about becoming paranoid. This is about becoming spiritually awake.
The center of all of it is this: Jesus Christ sets people free.

The New Testament word for freedom is แผฮปฮตฯ…ฮธฮตฯฯŒฯ‰ (eleutheroล) - to set free, to liberate, to make free indeed. Jesus did not come to decorate bondage. He came to destroy it.

    WHAT IS A GENERATIONAL CURSE?

A generational curse is not a magical spell sitting on a family tree. It is a repeated spiritual, moral, and often practical pattern of sin and consequences that passes through generations because the same rebellion, idolatry, disobedience, and unbelief keep being repeated.
In Exodus 20:5โ€“6, God says He visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Him, but He also shows mercy to thousands who love Him and keep His commandments.

The Hebrew word for iniquity is ืขึธื•ึนืŸ (สฟavon) - crookedness, guilt, perversity, the twisted consequences of sin. That means sin is not just a private act. Sin carries weight. Sin leaves a trail. Sin can shape a family atmosphere.
What a parent opens, a child can inherit. What a generation normalizes, the next generation may continue.
But the Bible also gives balance in Ezekiel 18:20, where God says the son will not bear the guilt of the father, and the father will not bear the guilt of the son. That means each person is accountable before God for their own sin.

So we must hold both truths together:
    Sin can produce family patterns.
But nobody is doomed forever if they come to Christ.

That is why Galatians 3:13 matters so much: โ€œChrist redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.โ€

The word for curse there is ฮบฮฑฯ„ฮฌฯฮฑ (katara) - a curse, a pronouncement of doom. The word redeemed is แผฮพฮฑฮณฮฟฯฮฌฮถฯ‰ (exagorazล) - to buy out of slavery, to purchase out from under ownership.
Jesus did not only forgive sins. He broke the legal right of the curse over those who belong to Him.

BLOODLINE CURSES ARE REAL PATTERNS, BUT JESUS IS GREATER

When people talk about bloodline curses, they are often talking about repeated patterns in a family line.

    It may look like:

    repeated divorce
    repeated poverty
    repeated addiction
    repeated fatherlessness
    repeated anger
    repeated occult involvement
    repeated sickness
    repeated unforgiveness
    repeated rebellion
    repeated sexual immorality

    These patterns can come through:

    generational sin
    family agreements with darkness
    unresolved trauma
    idols in the home
    spoken words
    repeated rebellion
    hidden practices that invited oppression

But the good news is this: Jesus Christ breaks every chain.
In Colossians 2:14โ€“15, we are told that Jesus canceled the record of debt that stood against us and triumphed over principalities and powers through the cross.

    The Greek words matter here:

แผ€ฯฯ‡ฮฑฮฏ (archai) - principalities, ruling powers
    แผฮพฮฟฯ…ฯƒฮฏฮฑฮน (exousiai) - authorities
ฯ‡ฮตฮนฯฯŒฮณฯฮฑฯ†ฮฟฮฝ (cheirographon) - handwritten record of debt

That means Jesus did not just forgive. He canceled the accusation and disarmed the powers.
So the blood of Jesus is not a symbol only. It is victory. It is authority. It is deliverance. It is legal cancellation. It is the end of the enemyโ€™s claim.

    FAMILIAR SPIRITS AND SPIRITUAL AGREEMENTS

Familiar spirits are spirits that attach themselves to families, homes, or individuals, often because of repeated sin, rebellion, occult involvement, or agreements with darkness.
The Old Testament warns against them in Leviticus 19:31 and Deuteronomy 18:10โ€“12.

The Hebrew terms often associated with this are:

medium, familiar spirit, spirit of the dead - ืื•ึนื‘ (สพov)
familiar spirit, spirit of knowing - ื™ึดื“ึฐึผืขึนื ึดื™ (yiddeสฟoni)

These are forbidden because they are counterfeit spiritual access. They are a false doorway into the invisible realm.

    Familiar spirits can manifest as:

    recurring strongholds
    unexplained fear or anxiety
    repeated deception
    oppression in the home
compulsions or habits that feel unbreakable
cycles that seem to โ€œknow your familyโ€

They can attach to bloodlines, objects, or even generational curses. Often, the enemy uses them to continue cycles of sin or to intimidate believers.
But the Word is clear: no familiar spirit has authority over a child of God.
In Acts 16:18, Paul commands a spirit to come out in the name of Jesus, and it obeys instantly. The authority of Jesus is not theoretical. It is active.

    Jesus said in Luke 10:19:

โ€œI have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy.โ€
The word authority there is แผฮพฮฟฯ…ฯƒฮฏฮฑ (exousia) - delegated right, legal authority, permission to act under a higher King.
So familiar spirits are real, but Jesus is greater. We are not powerless. We are not victims. We are conquerors in Christ.

    HOW DO DOORS OPEN SPIRITUALLY?

    Doors open in several ways:

Through personal sin - giving room for darkness.
Through family patterns - repeated rebellion or occult involvement.
Through unclean objects and practices - items connected to idolatry, death, witchcraft, or rebellion.
Through media and entertainment - movies, music, and visual content can shape your mind spiritually.
Through spoken words - agreements with darkness, curses, or self-condemnation.
Through unforgiveness - leaving a place in the heart empty allows the enemy to return.

Jesus warned in Matthew 12:43โ€“45 that when an unclean spirit leaves and finds the house empty, swept, and put in order, it can return with more trouble.
The Greek idea of the house there is ฮฟแผถฮบฮฟฯ‚ (oikos) - house, household, family environment.

That means deliverance is not enough if the house is left empty. The house must be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, prayer, worship, and obedience.
Jesus closes every door when we repent, renounce evil, and fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit.

    UNCLEAN THINGS IN THE HOUSE

A house is not only a structure. A house is a spiritual environment.

What you allow in your home matters:

    music
    movies
    symbols
    idols
    occult items
    sexual impurity
    curses spoken in the house
    constant anger
    disrespect
    ungodly altars
    witchcraft objects
    rebellion normalized as entertainment

In the Old Testament, Joshua 7 shows how hidden sin can bring judgment on the whole camp. One manโ€™s secret disobedience became a public problem.

In 1 Corinthians 10:20โ€“21, Paul warns against participating in what belongs to demons.
That means believers should not be casual about what they bring into their homes.
Do not ignore objects connected to darkness. Remove agreements with sin. But remember this carefully: objects themselves do not have power over Godโ€™s children. The issue is what they represent, what they were used for, and what spiritual agreement they carry.
A home must not only be clean physically. It must be clean spiritually.

    CLOTHES, SCARVES, BONES, AND SYMBOLS

Clothing or objects themselves are not magical. But clothing can represent identity, allegiance, honor, shame, rebellion, paganism, modesty, or holiness.

The Bible speaks about this in several places:
Deuteronomy 22:5 - clothing and identity distinctions
    1 Timothy 2:9 - modest apparel
Acts 19:11โ€“12 - objects as points of contact for God

In Acts 19, cloths and aprons associated with Paul were used by God in healing. That does not mean cloth has power by itself. It means God can use physical things as points of contact when He chooses.
So if a scarf, cloth, bone, charm, or symbol is tied to witchcraft, occult practices, ancestral rituals, or death worship, remove it. Do not keep agreements with darkness.
We do not worship objects. We do not fear objects. We do not give objects more power than Christ.
But we also do not stay careless about spiritual symbols.

TATTOOS: WHAT DOES THE WORD REALLY SAY?

People often quote Leviticus 19:28, where God says not to make cuts in the body for the dead and not to tattoo themselves.
The Hebrew idea here is tied to pagan mourning rituals and idolatrous identity. In context, God was setting Israel apart from the nations around them.

So what is the real issue?
Not just ink. The issue is pagan identity, covenant loyalty, and holiness.
The New Testament adds an important truth in 1 Corinthians 6:19โ€“20:
Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

The Greek word for temple there is ฮฝฮฑฯŒฯ‚ (naos) - the holy sanctuary, not just a building, but the place where God dwells.
That means your body is not yours to glorify rebellion, vanity, lust, death, gang identity, occult symbolism, or self-worship.

Tattoos are not condemned automatically. But motives matter:

    Is it honoring God?
Is it tied to rebellion, lust, death, occult, or vanity?
Does it glorify Christ or self?

If someone already has tattoos, the blood of Jesus is greater than the ink on the skin. They are not condemned if they are in Christ. But if someone is considering tattoos, they must not treat the body lightly.
The heart behind the tattoo matters more than the ink.

MOVIES, MUSIC, AND WHAT WE ALLOW INTO THE MIND

Matthew 6:22โ€“23 says the eye is the lamp of the body.

The Greek word for eye is แฝ€ฯ†ฮธฮฑฮปฮผฯŒฯ‚ (ophthalmos), and the idea is that what enters through the eye affects the whole inner life.
What you watch shapes your imagination, conscience, appetite, fears, and worldview.
Repeated exposure to occult themes, sexual immorality, revenge, witchcraft, rebellion, or darkness opens doors spiritually.
That does not mean every movie is evil. But it does mean believers must not be careless.
You cannot feed on darkness and then wonder why your spirit feels weak.
You cannot normalize sin in your entertainment and then expect spiritual sensitivity.
What enters the mind shapes what grows in the heart.

    GENERATIONAL, NORMAL, AND BLOODLINE CURSES

There are different kinds of curse language in Scripture and in life:

Generational curses - repeated sin across family lines
Normal curses - spoken words of evil
Bloodline curses - family patterns of oppression
Self-curses - agreements with negative words about yourself

But always remember: the authority of Christ is greater than any curse.
In Numbers 23:23, Balaam says there is no enchantment against Jacob. In Isaiah 54:17, the Word declares that no weapon formed against Godโ€™s people shall prosper.

That does not mean weapons wonโ€™t form. It means they will not win.
The curse may come. The curse may speak. The curse may threaten. But in Christ, it does not rule.

    JESUS SETS US FREE

This is the center of the message.

John 8:36 - โ€œIf the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.โ€
1 John 3:8 - Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.
2 Corinthians 5:17 - in Christ, you are a new creation.

Galatians 3:13 h redeemed from the curse.

The Greek word for new creation is ฮบฮฑฮนฮฝแฝด ฮบฯ„ฮฏฯƒฮนฯ‚ (kainฤ“ ktisis) โ€” not repaired, but made new.
That means curses, bloodline oppression, occult powers, and familiar spirits are all subject to Jesus.
He is not one power among many. He is Lord over all.

    WALKING IN DELIVERANCE

Deliverance is not only a prayer event. It is a life of surrender.

    You must:

    repent
    renounce darkness
    forgive others
    remove unclean objects
    close spiritual doors
    stop feeding on darkness
    renew your mind
    pray over your family
    speak the Word
    walk in obedience
stay filled with the Holy Spirit

The Greek word for repent is ฮผฮตฯ„ฮฑฮฝฮฟฮญฯ‰ (metanoeล) - to change oneโ€™s mind, to turn, to reorient oneโ€™s whole life.
A cleaned house and life must be filled with Christ.

A cleaned house without Christ becomes vulnerable again. A cleaned heart without the Word becomes unstable again. A cleansed life without discipleship becomes empty again.

    TEACH CHILDREN SPIRITUAL WARFARE EARLY

    This is very important.

    Teach children:

    prayer
    discernment
    rejection of evil
honoring God with the body and mind

    The Bible says:

Proverbs 22:6 - train up a child in the way they should go
Deuteronomy 6:6โ€“7 - teach Godโ€™s words diligently to children
Ephesians 6:4 - bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord

The Greek word in Ephesians 6:4 for nurture is ฯ€ฮฑฮนฮดฮตฮฏฮฑ (paideia) - training, discipline, instruction. Children are not just to be corrected; they are to be trained in truth.

Teach them early to know Jesus, resist darkness, and walk in truth.
Do not wait until the world has discipled them first. Train them while they are young.

Generational curses broken in Jesusโ€™ name. Bloodline oppression destroyed. Unclean things removed. Spiritual doors closed. Bodies sanctified. Minds renewed. Children protected.

Christ redeems, cleanses, restores, and sets free.

    CLOSING DECLARATION

    I declare:

Every curse broken in Jesusโ€™ name. Every familiar spirit removed. Every unclean object removed. Every door of darkness shut. My body a temple of the Holy Spirit. My mind belongs to Christ. My children will walk in truth. My home belongs to Jesus.

Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

  • Weak pastors are why modesty is disappearing in the church.
    Not culture.
    Not feminism.
    Not social media.
    Weak shepherds.
And if preaching modesty offends you more than immodesty in church… we have a bigger problem.
The house of God is not a runway.
The Lord’s Day is not casual culture hour.
Scripture doesn’t blush when it commands modesty (1 Timothy 2:9).
    The modern church does.
Pastors are commanded to guard the church (Acts 20:28).
To shepherd it (1 Peter 5:2).
To remove stumbling blocks (Matthew 18:7).
Yet many stand silent while the world’s sensuality walks straight into Sunday worship unchecked.
    Why?
    Because correction might offend someone.
    Because someone might leave.
Because someone might post about it.
So instead of leading, they appease.
    Instead of guarding, they accommodate.
Instead of shepherding, they shrink back.
We say we want holiness… until it confronts culture.
Yes, men must control their minds — no excuses. But that does not erase the biblical call for women to dress modestly. Holiness is mutual. The body of Christ protects one another.
There is a difference between evangelizing in the streets and guarding the sanctity of worship. The Sunday gathering is sacred. Families are present. Children are present. Young men fighting temptation are present.
We would not allow a man to walk in drunk holding a bottle just to make sure he “hears the Gospel.” So why are we afraid to address immodesty that creates distraction and temptation?
Correction done in love is not cruelty. It is care.
The real issue? Many churches fear backlash more than they fear God.
Evangelism is not helped by compromising holiness. God draws His people (John 6:44). Our responsibility is faithfulness.
A shepherd who refuses to confront sin for fear of criticism is not being compassionate — he is being negligent.
    Strong churches require strong shepherds.
If pastors won’t lead with courage, the culture will.
    And it already is.
    Holiness is not hateful.
    Standards are not oppressive.
    Modesty is not optional.
Should churches enforce modesty standards — yes or no? Why?

  • WORLD IMMODESTY VS BIBLICAL MODESTY

In A Generation Where Exposure Is Celebrated And Attention Is Currency, GOD IS STILL CALLING HIS PEOPLE TO BE DIFFERENT. The world says, โ€œShow more to be noticed.โ€ But the Word of God says, โ€œClothe yourself with dignity and strength.โ€

WORLDLY IMMODESTY FOCUSES ON THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE โ€” exposing the body, seeking validation, drawing attention, and feeding pride. It shouts rebellion and conforms to trends that change with every season. It tempts, distracts, and glorifies the flesh.

But BIBLICAL MODESTY IS NOT ABOUT BEING OLD-FASHIONED, IT IS ABOUT BEING SET APART. It is not weakness; IT IS STRENGTH UNDER CONTROL. It Covers The Body, Promotes Purity, and Reflects Humility. IT DOES NOT SEEK TO PROVOKE LUST BUT TO INSPIRE RESPECT. It is MOTIVATED not by pride, but BY REVERENCE FOR GOD.

    Romans 12:2 NASB1995
[2] And DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, but BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

    1 Timothy 2:9 NASB1995
[9] Likewise, I want WOMEN TO ADORN THEMSELVES WITH PROPER CLOTHING, MODESTLY and DISCREETLY, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,

MODESTY IS NOT ABOUT RULES, ITโ€™S ABOUT THE HEART. ITโ€™S ABOUT VALUE
Does the way I dress honor God?
Does it reflect purity or seek attention?
Am I representing Christ or chasing culture?

As followers of Christ, WE ARE CALLED TO SHINE DIFFERENTLY. WE DONโ€™T NEED TO EXPOSE OUR BODIES to prove our worth. OUR VALUE IS ALREADY SECURED IN HIM. TRUE BEAUTY IS NOT FOUND IN HOW MUCH SKIN IS SHOWN, BUT IN A HEART SURRENDERED TO THE LORD.

    Choose to be set apart.
    Choose purity over popularity.
    Choose reverence over rebellion.
CHOOSE TO HONOR GOD IN EVERYTHING โ€” EVEN IN THE WAY WE DRESS.
Because in the end, ITโ€™S NOT ABOUT IMPRESSING THE WORLDโ€ฆ
ITโ€™S ABOUT PLEASING THE ONE WHO SAVED OUR SOUL.

  • A Deaf Ear
    ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย Why do Christian people in our day purposely turn a deaf ear to the clear appeals in the Word of God concerning spiritual desire and victory?
ย ย ย ย ย ย In some cases it is because they have heard truth that they are not willing to obey. Our Lord is not going to compromise with anyone over the issue of disobedience to truth that He reveals. As a result those who knowingly refuse to obey will be brought to a distinct halt in their spiritual life. If there is something that they will not do for Him, some confession they will not make, something they refuse to straighten out, some act of obedience they will not performโ€”they will come to a stop and just sit. It is a dead haltโ€”like the breaking of an axle on a truck or car.
ย ย ย ย ย ย People are sitting all around in the church of Christ, just as though the axle had broken, and they have not made any progress for years and years. They are completely stopped by nonobedience.
ย ย ย ย ย ย In other cases, Christians have been side-tracked and rendered useless by their acceptance of a state of chronic discouragement. As a result, they have come to a place of contented rationalization that their condition is normal for all Christians.
ย ย ย ย ย ย These are people who are believers, but they are not believers for themselves. They say they believe in this progressive, victorious Christian life but that it is for others, not for themselves. They have been to every altar, they have been to all of the Bible conferences, but the blessings are for someone else.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Now that attitude on the part of believers is neither modesty nor meekness. It is discouragement resulting from unbelief. It is rather like those who have been sick so long that they no longer believe they can get well. They have lived with the illness so long that it has become a pet, and they donโ€™t want to lose it because they would no longer have a subject for conversation. They would say that they want to get well, but in fact, they do not.
ย ย ย ย ย ย Jesus is still saying, as He said to the man lying by the gate at the pool, โ€œWilt thou be made whole?โ€ (John 5:6). Jesus made that man whole and raised him up because he wanted to be healed and delivered. If Jesus had found in him that which He finds in so many Christians todayโ€”a chronic state of discouragementโ€”He would have passed him by!

  • Are you Catholic?  You love Jesus but do you call an old man "Holy Father"?

When Jesus was talking to the Pharisees, He said, "Do not call (a religious Leader) on earth your Father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
    Matthew 23:9 NASB

Jesus called God, Holy Father in John 17:11 but the pope allows himself to be called Holy Father. When has he spoken against it?

The pope is also "not" the "Vicar" of Christ.  Their is No "Substitute" for Christ.

The pope was elected into his office by a vote and his followers waited for the white smoke to emerge from the stove pipe.  This is just like Matthias who was named as the twelfth apostle by casting in their lots.  Paul was chosen by Christ Himself so, Paul is the twelfth apostle. There are 24 thrones in heaven for the twelve Patriarchs and the twelve apostles. Blessing and Honor, Glory and Power be to Our Holy God and Father who sits on His Throne And unto the Lamb, Our Lord Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God who sits on His Throne Next to His Father. Revelation 4:4,  Revelation 3:21

Christians don't pray to Mary, saints, angels or statues yet, the pope does.

Jesus answered, “I am the Way, the Truth, and Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  John 14:6

The pope is not the Head of the Church because the True Church is the Body of Christ.

    Ephesians 4:4-6
There is one "body" and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

    Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the Church, His "body", of which He is the Savior. (Not the pope)

    Colossians 1:18
And He is the Head of the "body", the Church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.

    1st Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

    1st Corinthians 12:12-31
The body is a unit, though it is composed of many parts. And although its parts are many, they all form one body. So it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink.

For the body does not consist of one part, but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

But in fact, God has arranged the members of the body, every one of them, according to His design. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Nor can the head say to the feet, “I do not need you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts we consider less honorable, we treat with greater honor. And our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty, whereas our presentable parts have no such need.

But God has composed the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its members should have mutual concern for one another. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each of you is a member of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with gifts of healing, helping, administration, and various tongues. (No pope)
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way. Love 1st Corinthians 13

    1st Corinthians 14:1-4
Earnestly "pursue love" and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit. But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, encouragement, and comfort. The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.

    Pursue Love.
Love is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
    Galatians 5:22-25
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.

    Ephesians 2:18-22
For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. In Him the whole building is fitted together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit.

  • BIBLE STUDY — January 19 | Exodus 28

    “Clothed for Glory and Service”

    Introduction

Exodus 28 shifts focus from the structure of the Tabernacle to the priests who will serve in it. Having
described the place where God’s presence will dwell, God now appoints the men who will minister before Him and prescribes the sacred garments they are to wear.

Aaron and his sons are chosen to serve as priests. Their clothing is not ordinary — it is designed “for glory and for beauty.” Every color, jewel, and thread symbolizes holiness, representation, and intercession. These garments remind Israel that approaching God requires purity, humility, and divine covering.

At the heart of this chapter is the High Priest’s role as mediator between God and His people. Aaron bears the names of the twelve tribes on his shoulders and over his heart, representing all of Israel before the Lord.

The garments — the ephod, breastplate, robe, turban, and linen garments — all carry symbolic meaning fulfilled in Jesus Christ, our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 4:14–16).

This chapter reminds believers that we too are called to be a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). Though we do not wear physical garments, we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, called to serve God with purity, honor, and beauty.

    Context

โ— Author: Moses, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit

โ— Setting: Mount Sinai, as God gives instructions for priestly garments and ordination

โ— Purpose: To set apart the priests for holy service and reveal the spiritual symbolism of intercession and representation before God

    Verse-by-Verse Overview

Verses 1–2 – The Call to the Priesthood

“Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron’s sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.”

God calls Aaron and his sons into the priesthood, appointing them to serve as mediators between God and His people. Their garments were designed to reflect God’s holiness, glory, and beauty.

Lesson: God’s calling always comes with purpose and preparation. When He sets you apart, your life
becomes a reflection of His glory.

Verses 3–5 – Skilled Workers and Sacred Materials

“So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest. They shall take the gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen.”

God fills artisans with His Spirit to create the priestly garments. Every stitch was an act of worship, symbolizing divine wisdom and beauty in service.

Lesson: Every gift and skill can glorify God. When your work is Spirit-led, it becomes a sacred act of worship.

Verses 6–8 – The Ephod: Garment of Service

“And they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, artistically worked. It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together. And the intricately woven band of the ephod, which is on it, shall be of the same workmanship, made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen.”

The ephod was a richly designed garment symbolizing service and authority. Its colors and materials reflected heaven’s glory and the beauty of holiness.

Lesson: Serving God is both an honor and a responsibility. When you wear His calling, you carry His glory
    before others.

Verses 9–12 – The Onyx Stones on the Shoulders

“Then you shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel: six of their names on one stone, and six names on the other stone, in order of their birth. With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel. You shall set them in settings of gold. And you shall put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. So Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders as a memorial.”

Each onyx stone carried the names of Israel’s twelve tribes. The priest literally bore the people on his
shoulders before God — a picture of intercession and representation.

Lesson: Intercession means carrying others before God in prayer. True leaders lift their people on their
shoulders in love and prayerful responsibility.

Verses 13–15 – The Breastplate of Judgment

“You shall also make settings of gold, and you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings. You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod, you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, you shall make it.”

The breastplate rested over the heart, representing the priest’s role in seeking God’s will and interceding for the people. Its design was to be both beautiful and precise.

Lesson: God’s servants carry His people not only on their shoulders (strength) but on their hearts (love).
    Ministry flows from compassion.

Verses 16–21 – The Twelve Stones of the Tribes

“It shall be doubled into a square: a span shall be its length, and a span shall be its width. And you shall put settings of stones in it, four rows of stones: The first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald; this shall be the first row; the second row shall be a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They shall be set in gold settings.

And the stones shall have the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, each one with its own name; they shall be according to the twelve tribes.”

Each tribe was represented by a unique, precious stone — showing that every individual is valuable in God’s sight. The priest bore them over his heart continually.

Lesson: God sees His people as precious gems. Every believer, though unique, is set in His heart with beauty and purpose.

Verses 22–28 – The Chains and Rings for the Breastplate

“You shall make chains for the breastplate at the end, like braided cords of pure gold. And you shall make two rings of gold for the breastplate, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. Then you shall put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate; and the other two ends of the two braided chains you shall fasten to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in the front. You shall make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which is on the inner side of the ephod.

And two other rings of gold you shall make, and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod. They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate does not come loose from the ephod.”

The breastplate was securely fastened so it would never fall from the priest’s chest. It symbolized steadfast love and continual remembrance.

Lesson: God holds His people close to His heart — secure, remembered, and never forgotten.

Verses 29–30 – Bearing the People Before the Lord

“So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before the Lord continually. And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord.

So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.” The high priest carried both the names of the tribes and the Urim and Thummim — sacred stones used to discern God’s will. This symbolizes Christ, our High Priest, who bears our names and leads us with perfect wisdom.

Lesson: God’s people are always on His heart. Jesus carries us before the Father with love and intercession every moment.

Verses 31–35 – The Robe of the Ephod

“You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. There shall be an opening for his head in the middle of it; it shall have a woven binding all around its opening, like the opening in a coat of mail, so that it does not tear.

And upon its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, all around its hem, and bells of gold between them all around: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe all around. And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and its sound will be heard when he goes into the holy place before the Lord and when he comes out, that he may not die.”

The robe’s design combined fruit (pomegranates) and bells — symbols of fruitfulness and testimony. The sound announced the priest’s ministry before God.

Lesson: God’s servants should bear both fruit and sound — character and testimony. True ministry is seen in both lifestyle and voice.

Verses 36–38 – The Holy Crown

“You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD. And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.”

The crown declared Holiness to the Lord. It reminded both priest and people that worship and service must be holy.

Lesson: God’s servants are marked by holiness. When your mind is set apart for Him, everything you do
    becomes acceptable in His sight.

Verses 39–43 – Garments for Glory and Modesty

“You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work. For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them.

And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty. So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests. And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs. They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they come into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister in the holy place, that they do not incur iniquity and die. It shall be a statute forever to him and his descendants after him.”

Every garment was made to honor God through both beauty and modesty. The priest’s appearance reflected the purity and dignity of God’s presence.

Lesson: Holiness covers, it doesn’t expose. Those who serve God should reflect both inner purity and outward humility in all they do.

    Application for Today

    1. Remember Your Calling: Like Aaron, you are called and equipped by God for His service.

    2. Live as His Representative: You carry His name and presence wherever you go.

    3. Pray with Compassion: Intercede for others with the same heart Christ has for His people.

    4. Stay Pure in Heart and Life: Holiness is not optional — it’s the mark of those who serve a holy God.

    5. Reflect His Beauty: Your life should display the beauty of God’s presence, not just in words but in
    conduct and love.

    Summary

๐Ÿ“… BIBLE STUDY — January 19 | Exodus 28 ๐Ÿ‘• “Clothed for Glory and Service” Introduction Exodus 28 shifts focus from the structure of the Tabernacle to the priests who will serve in it. Having described the place where God’s presence will dwell, God now appoints the men who will minister before Him and prescribes the sacred garments they are to wear. Context โ— Author: Moses, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit โ— Setting: Mount Sinai, as God gives instructions for priestly garments and ordination โ— Purpose: To set apart the priests for holy service and reveal the spiritual symbolism of intercession and representation before God Verse-by-Verse Overview Verses 1–2 – The Call to the Priesthood “Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest, Aaron and Aaron’s sons: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.” God calls Aaron and his sons into the priesthood, appointing them to serve as mediators between God and His people. Their garments were designed to reflect God’s holiness, glory, and beauty. Lesson: God’s calling always comes with purpose and preparation. When He sets you apart, your life becomes a reflection of His glory. Verses 3–5 – Skilled Workers and Sacred Materials “So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest. They shall take the gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen.” God fills artisans with His Spirit to create the priestly garments. Every stitch was an act of worship, symbolizing divine wisdom and beauty in service. Lesson: Every gift and skill can glorify God. When your work is Spirit-led, it becomes a sacred act of worship. Verses 6–8 – The Ephod: Garment of Service “And they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, artistically worked. It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together. And the intricately woven band of the ephod, which is on it, shall be of the same workmanship, made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen.” The ephod was a richly designed garment symbolizing service and authority. Its colors and materials reflected heaven’s glory and the beauty of holiness. Lesson: Serving God is both an honor and a responsibility. When you wear His calling, you carry His glory before others. Verses 9–12 – The Onyx Stones on the Shoulders “Then you shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel: six of their names on one stone, and six names on the other stone, in order of their birth. With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel. You shall set them in settings of gold. And you shall put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. So Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders as a memorial.” Each onyx stone carried the names of Israel’s twelve tribes. The priest literally bore the people on his shoulders before God — a picture of intercession and representation. Lesson: Intercession means carrying others before God in prayer. True leaders lift their people on their shoulders in love and prayerful responsibility. Verses 13–15 – The Breastplate of Judgment “You shall also make settings of gold, and you shall make two chains of pure gold like braided cords, and fasten the braided chains to the settings. You shall make the breastplate of judgment. Artistically woven according to the workmanship of the ephod, you shall make it: of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, you shall make it.” The breastplate rested over the heart, representing the priest’s role in seeking God’s will and interceding for the people. Its design was to be both beautiful and precise. Lesson: God’s servants carry His people not only on their shoulders (strength) but on their hearts (love). Ministry flows from compassion. Verses 16–21 – The Twelve Stones of the Tribes “It shall be doubled into a square: a span shall be its length, and a span shall be its width. And the stones shall have the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, each one with its own name; they shall be according to the twelve tribes.” Each tribe was represented by a unique, precious stone — showing that every individual is valuable in God’s sight. The priest bore them over his heart continually. Lesson: God sees His people as precious gems. Every believer, though unique, is set in His heart with beauty and purpose. Verses 22–28 – The Chains and Rings for the Breastplate “You shall make chains for the breastplate at the end, like braided cords of pure gold. They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate does not come loose from the ephod.” The breastplate was securely fastened so it would never fall from the priest’s chest. It symbolized steadfast love and continual remembrance. Lesson: God holds His people close to His heart — secure, remembered, and never forgotten. Verses 29–30 – Bearing the People Before the Lord “So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgment over his heart, when he goes into the holy place, as a memorial before the Lord continually. Verses 31–35 – The Robe of the Ephod “You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and its sound will be heard when he goes into the holy place before the Lord and when he comes out, that he may not die.” The robe’s design combined fruit (pomegranates) and bells — symbols of fruitfulness and testimony. The sound announced the priest’s ministry before God. Lesson: God’s servants should bear both fruit and sound — character and testimony. True ministry is seen in both lifestyle and voice. Verses 36–38 – The Holy Crown “You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD. And you shall put it on a blue cord, that it may be on the turban; it shall be on the front of the turban. So it shall be on Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things which the children of Israel hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.” The crown declared Holiness to the Lord. It reminded both priest and people that worship and service must be holy. Lesson: God’s servants are marked by holiness. When your mind is set apart for Him, everything you do becomes acceptable in His sight. Verses 39–43 – Garments for Glory and Modesty “You shall skillfully weave the tunic of fine linen thread, you shall make the turban of fine linen, and you shall make the sash of woven work. For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty.
