    BAPTISM.

By baptism we confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and testify of our death to sin and of our purpose to walk in newness of life. Thus we acknowledge Christ as Lord and Saviour, become His people, and are received as members by His church. Baptism is a symbol of our union with Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, and our reception of the Holy Spirit. It is by immersion in water and is contingent on an affirmation of faith in Jesus and evidence of repentance of sin. It follows instruction in the Holy Scriptures and acceptance of their teachings.

LIFE In HIS WORD: that at the mention of the name of JESUS every knee should now, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth. Philippians 2:10

I and Pauline went for a walk as always. This as been the tradition since our wedding. This time we went Bryan all holding hands and laughing. It’s usually a wonderful time to enjoy nature with your loved ones.
A sandy wind blew past us, we held our caps and tried to blow the dust. A car stopped beside us, the hand picked Bryan from the window. I and Pauline kept looking in instant confusion and shock as Bryan struggled not to tuck his head into the window, all of a sudden it occured to us what was happening. We ran after the car shouting “Bryan! Bryan!” The car kept moving while the struggle between Bryan and the hand continued. We kept running after the car that moved slowly at times, then fast again. All of a sudden I heard my wife behind me shouting “JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!” I joined too “JESUS, save Bryan, JESUS save Bryan”. At a point the car disappeared, my wife broke down and kept shouting JESUS through her tears. I quickly dialed 911 and explained they searched everywhere and found nothing and then promised us to be on the look out.
We went home but my wife didn’t say anything or talk to me but kept calling JESUS. I was worn out, drained, shattered as we approached home.
A boy poked his head out of the garden “dad over here” he was waving. My wife ran so fast shouting “JESUS!”. I hugged my son “how did you get here?” He smiled “those men dropped me, they said it irritated them so much that I was shouting JESUS. Grandma Parker next door found me wandering the next street turning and brought me home. I told her she could drop me at the door”.
I hugged my wife and son and kept calling “JESUS”.

Life Your Disposition: Don’t trivialise THE NAME OF JESUS in any situation or circumstances.

Affirmation: JESUS let me tongue and heart be filled with YOUR NAME

  • Daily Devotion — April 2 | Mark 1:11 (NKJV)

    Secure in the Father’s Love

Mark chapter 1 records the baptism of Jesus at the beginning of His public ministry. As Jesus comes up out of the water, heaven opens, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father speaks. The declaration is clear and powerful. You are My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.

This moment is significant because it happens before Jesus performs miracles, teaches crowds, or begins His ministry journey. The Father’s affirmation comes before the work begins. It reveals that Jesus’ identity is rooted in relationship, not performance.

The Father publicly affirms His love and pleasure in His Son. This declaration establishes Jesus’ identity and strengthens Him for the mission ahead. Soon after this moment, Jesus will face temptation in the wilderness, but the voice of the Father has already confirmed who He is.

For believers today this verse reminds us that identity in God precedes activity for God. We are not loved because of what we accomplish. We serve because we are loved. When our identity is secure in the Father, we can walk in obedience without striving for approval.

The world often measures worth by achievement, recognition, or success. God’s kingdom begins with relationship. When we understand that we are deeply loved by God, we gain confidence to follow His calling faithfully.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Do I base my worth on what I accomplish or on God’s love for me

    2. How does knowing God’s love strengthen my confidence in following Him

    3. Am I serving God from a place of acceptance rather than striving for approval

    Prayer

Lord God thank You for Your love and acceptance. Help me to remember that my identity is found in You and not in my accomplishments. Strengthen my confidence in Your love so that I can serve You faithfully and walk in the calling You have given me. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Begin each day reminding yourself of God’s love and acceptance

    ● Serve God from gratitude rather than from pressure to perform

    ● Spend time in Scripture to deepen your understanding of your identity in Christ

    Takeaway Thought

When your identity is rooted in the Father’s love, you can walk confidently in the purpose He has prepared for you.

    A Predicted Betrayal.

    March 30th, 2026

It was a creative effort to demoralize the troops, but most American soldiers in the South Pacific found it entertaining to listen to Japanese propaganda broadcasts during World War II. Tokyo Rose, a name given to several English-speaking women, read anti-American scripts to discourage soldiers, but often in a manner that undermined the broadcasts’ intent.

Iva Toguri, a Los Angeles native, became stranded in Japan during the war while visiting relatives. She couldn’t receive help from her family back home since they were placed in internment camps, so she took a part-time job as a typist at Radio Tokyo and was then recruited to speak on The Zero Hour. She was later convicted of treason when she tried to return to the United States, but the evidence against her was slim and she was eventually pardoned.

Thirty pieces of silver became evidence enough to convict the heart of a man known for the greatest betrayal in history. Jesus’ own disciple, Judas Iscariot, turned his back on Christ (John 18:2). The Old Testament foretold this disloyal act and even indicated the price of the betrayal (Zechariah 11:12).

Jesus knew Judas would turn his heel against Him and connected his duplicity with prophecy. “I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me’ ” (John 13:18).

But don’t let Judas’ treasonous act demoralize your faith. The sad commentary on this treacherous act is actually an affirmation of the

reliability of the Scriptures, confirming that Christ is the Son of God.

    Apply It:

Read 1 Peter 3:15, 16, and think of three ways you can speak up for Christ.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

My morning started way too early for a day off. 0430. No reason. No need. Just decided to wake up and look at the darkness of my room. I was able to drift off a few times, but by 0630, I was done … I needed coffee.

The last time that I was woken up this early for no reason was when there were words to be put to paper; however, no words or thoughts came to mind. Perhaps it has to do with the last-minute story thought that I had last night. I do not know, but I am very slow-moving this morning. Wonder if I can rig an IV and place it in the coffee pot for direct infusion?

Today is His day. Today, we give thanks for all the blessings and the obstacles. Yes, the obstacles. Without the obstacles and the trials, how would we know and truly appreciate the good? No one wants to go through the hard times, but in reality, the hard times and how we navigate through them are what help others believe and follow. We are a society that needs physical affirmation that things are legit. What better way to show how legit Jesus is than to have someone follow how you navigate trials and tribulations?

I will confess, my turbulent times are rough. I am not always the most ‘Christian’ looking person from the world's view; however, it is not the world’s view of me I am worried about. It is the deciding factor that I decided to trust and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. Making the choice to not throw in the towel. Making the choice to believe that He has it under control. Making the choice to stand firm in His love, regardless of what the world is showing me. Making a choice to believe in Him.

Today, wherever you find Him, give thanks for all your situations. Give your anxiety to Him and trust that He will provide. Quit seeing the physical and start seeing Him. The physical is the storm; He is the Lifeguard.

    Be blessed.

**Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. – Proverbs 29:18
