DAILY DEVOTIONAL - November 11
The Treasure Test
Matthew 6:21 (NKJV)
(For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.)
What we treasure most reveals where our heart truly rests. Jesus teaches that generosity is a spiritual indicator—it shows whether we trust in heaven’s economy or our own. Gratitude redirects our treasure toward eternal values.
As we continue in Week 2: Giving Freely, we are reminded that generosity and devotion cannot be separated. When our hearts are full of thanksgiving, giving becomes natural because our treasure is
already with the One who gave all for us.
Heaven’s treasures never fade. When we invest in God’s purposes, our hearts grow more aligned with His. Gratitude keeps our priorities straight—treasuring the eternal over the temporary.
Reflection Questions:
1. What does my spending say about what I treasure most?
2. How can gratitude reorient my heart toward eternal things?
3. What is one way I can invest my treasure in God’s kingdom this week?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for every good gift You have entrusted to me. Help me to treasure You above all else
and to use what I have for Your glory. Amen.
Practical Application:
โ Give intentionally to a cause that furthers the Gospel.
โ Declutter and donate unused possessions with a thankful heart.
โ Pray before every financial decision this week.
Takeaway Thought:
Gratitude turns your treasure toward heaven—and your heart follows close behind.
