People ask why we live in Bulgaria?
Well, its a long story.
The shortened version is: We tried to get home to Australia in 2020/21, but my government locked me and mine out.
Whats worse still, is my children are Aboriginal Australians, so you would assume they would have every right to be allowed home right?
Wrong!
We became Stateless.
So we became "stuck" here.
Not a bad thing.
Bulgaria with all its faults, is very much like Australia was in the 80s.
Everyone is helpful and neighbourly.
People care.
And the best part is, my son Euan, was offered a free scholarship to the Pierre du Cubertene sports school, with full boarding, for free!
Its only an hour away, but he gets all his education and athletic training for zero cost to me.
His aspirations is to go to the USA when he graduates in 2028.
He can run like the wind that boy!
So, my point is, God sometimes puts us into positions to just stop what we're doing and reflect on whats important in the 'here and now".
So take that moment, if youre being stopped from going somewhere, to reflect on why youre being stopped, and take Gods plan B on board.
Much love to you all.
Photo is of Euan on the TV yesterday during his school assembly, listening to a Bulgarian Olympic boxer telling the children to overcome their fears and challenge themselves ♥
