I was praying and reflecting last night on how often people blame God for everything wrong in the world. What’s always struck me as curious is this; many who say they don’t believe in God still blame Him. How do you assign responsibility to something you believe doesn’t exist?
A world with genuine free will is a world where God does not coerce outcomes. If every atrocity were divinely prevented, freedom would be an illusion and so would love.
Much of what we grieve is not God’s doing, but the result of human choices and evil intentions.
"I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."
-Deuteronomy 30:19
