Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
Today I go and close out my drawer. The last commitment that I have with my office. It will be the confirmation of sorts that I really did this. Haha. Yesterday’s service was so uplifting. It was such a praise session for the One who has made this all possible. I teared up on multiple occasions…it was just that good. To add to that, we were nearly a full house. The worship service was so loud with heavenly praise that I recorded the audio on my phone. I am going to listen to it today and share with my mom. I have never done that before.
In the message, the pastor issued a series of questions. As he was listing these different ‘What nows’, I placed myself in the ‘what now’ category. You have worked your whole life, you have made it to retirement, ‘now what?’ I have worked since I was twelve somewhere, somehow, so this is very odd for me. However, in the service, as the pastor spoke of way more horrific ‘what now’ scenarios, I felt His peace come over me, which provided a complete calm. The fear is still rattling around in the back of my head, but after service, while giving my mandatory hugs, I received several confirmations in different ways that I listened and I obeyed.
Change in life is inevitable. Nothing is exactly the same every day. How we deal with these changes, how we acknowledge Him in and through these changes; well, that is the story we tell. My prayer is that I display a positive light on change and set the stage and example for others to follow. Following blindly is scary, but I am at peace. My plan was to set the date and stay to the date. His plan was ‘Do you love Me?” Then trust Me.’
As you walk your walk today, search and see if there is an area that you do not have a plan for, but He is urging you to move forward in that direction … with only Him. Go to Him in prayer and listen. If it is to be, there will be a complete peace within the chaos of the unknown. That peace … that is Him.
Be blessed.
**Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.—Psalm 100:4
