Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

As we approach this wonderful weekend of sorrow and blessing, have you ever considered the position that the Romans took? We know what the disciples and other followers did, but what about the Romans? I am pretty sure that they did not just go, “Welp, sucks to be them.” Or “Oh darn, what happened?” Scripture really doesn’t tell us much, that I have found, except that the guards were frightened and ran off to hide because they fell asleep at their post.

Last night I watched a movie with an interesting perspective of the Romans. It is a plausible viewpoint. Not sure any of it can really be verified as factual, however, the story was quite compelling. The movie is called Risen. It takes the side of Pilot and an officer in the Roman detail. I highly recommend watching.

The movie replayed through my head on the possibility or plausibility of accuracy that it could have been, to me it was a little mild, based on how I perceive what the Romans would have been like, but still pretty close. If you were Pilot, and the Caiaphas had already pressured you into this punishment, then came back to you for the Roman Seal, would you not see a tension build between them once He rose from the tomb? The ‘investigation’ that would ensue. It really did bring on some interesting points to consider.

As we come closer to this miraculous weekend, keep in mind that those who do not know Him, have no idea what this weekend really means. What power was displayed this weekend so many years ago. This weekend will be a great time to show His love. A great weekend to show random acts of kindness. A great weekend to reconcile out of the blue with someone you have issues with. A great weekend to display Love in accordance with how He showed love…by surrendering your pride, ego, and arrogance then willfully stepping out of you and into Him. Something to think about.

Be blessed.

**Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. –John 16:24
