Today’s God’s Promise: “When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached out his hand and took hold of the Ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah…” (2 Samuel 6:6–7) Dear beloved, The Ark of God represents God’s presence. It is not an ordinary object. God clearly gave instructions — the Levites were to carry it on their shoulders (Numbers 4:15). But what happened in David’s time? They placed the Ark on a cart pulled by oxen. This was against God’s command. (Where have you placed the ministry of your church? Where are the servants?) 👉 When the work meant for servants is done in another way, problems begin. Why did the oxen stumble? This was not just an accident — When something is done against God’s will, even a small disturbance can turn into a major danger. If we walk in a way God has not approved, the path will not remain stable. Why did Uzzah die? Uzzah acted with good intention. But — ❌ He violated God’s instructed method ❌ He touched what was holy without permission 👉 Even with good intentions, acting against God’s command is still sin. What is today’s lesson for us? 🔹 The work of servants must be done by the servants themselves 🔹 God’s work must be done in God’s way 🔹 If we take shortcuts, obstacles are unavoidable 🔹 When people fail to fulfill their responsibilities in the church, confusion arises 👉 In family and in church — If we step aside saying, “I don’t have time” or “someone else will do it,” that place will not remain empty — problems will fill it. What is your responsibility in your church? Where have you placed the work you are supposed to do? 👉 God’s work is not a game. We must honor His command and follow His way.
