Lent DAY 38 – Walking in the Spirit
“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” - Galatians 5:16

Thought Of The Day...
Walking in the Spirit is not a one-time decision—it is a daily surrender. The flesh pulls us toward impatience, pride, temptation, and self-reliance, but the Spirit gently leads us toward righteousness, peace, and obedience. There is a constant tension within us, yet God has given us His Spirit as our guide, strength, and helper. When we choose to walk in the Spirit, we are choosing alignment with God’s will over our own desires. It means pausing before reacting, listening before speaking, and trusting God even when the flesh urges control. The Spirit does not force us—He leads us. And every step we take with Him produces fruit that reflects Christ in our lives. Victory over the flesh is not achieved by striving harder, but by staying closer to the Spirit. The more we walk with Him, the less power the flesh has over us.

Prayer...
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Teach me to walk in step with You today. Quiet the voice of my flesh and strengthen my spirit to follow Your leading. Help me to choose righteousness over temptation and obedience over impulse. Guide my thoughts, my words, and my actions so that my life reflects You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Declaration...
I walk by the Spirit daily. I am led by God, and I overcome the desires of the flesh through His power.
