Gospel of the Day – John 8:1–11
A woman caught in sin was brought before Jesus, and the crowd was ready to condemn her. But Jesus said,
“Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone.”
One by one, they all walked away.
Then Jesus said to her,
“Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.”
Reflection:
God’s mercy is greater than our sin.
He does not come to condemn us, but to restore us.
Today, let us put down our stones—toward others and toward ourselves—and choose a new beginning in His love.
Prayer:
Lord, give me a heart full of mercy,
the humility to see my own faults,
and the strength to begin again. Amen.
