Reflection
Life is one of the greatest gifts God has given, yet this verse reveals something deeper: Jesus does not only give life — He carries life within Himself.
Every human being has life, but our life is dependent. We eat to live, sleep to recover strength, and depend on God for every breath. But Jesus has life in Himself. This means He is the source, not just a receiver. He is the giver, not just a participant in life.
This is why Jesus can give eternal life, spiritual life, and new life. When a person encounters Christ, something inside begins to change. Hope comes alive, purpose becomes clear, and the spirit is renewed. The life Jesus gives is not just about existing; it is about living with God’s purpose, presence, and power.
Many people are alive physically but empty spiritually. Jesus came so that we would not only live, but live fully and meaningfully in God.
Today, remember this truth: Your real life is connected to Christ. The closer you are to Him, the fuller your life becomes.
