The worst position a man can place himself in is the position of disregarding the presence of God. When a person chooses to live as though God does not exist, or as though His presence is irrelevant, he removes the very foundation that gives life meaning, direction, and accountability. Without the awareness that God sees, guides, and judges, a man can easily drift into pride, selfishness, and moral confusion.
Recognizing the presence of God brings humility to the heart and discipline to one's actions. It reminds a person that every thought, word, and decision carries weight beyond the moment. When a man acknowledges God, he becomes more careful with how he treats others, how he uses his time, and how he walks through life. The consciousness of God's presence encourages wisdom, integrity, and reverence.
However, when a man disregards God, he risks building his life on temporary foundations—pleasure, power, wealth, or human approval. These things may appear strong for a time, but they cannot sustain the soul. Eventually, such a life leads to emptiness, confusion, and spiritual blindness, because it is disconnected from the very source of truth and purpose.
To live with the awareness of God’s presence is to live with guidance, hope, and responsibility. It aligns a man with a higher standard and gives him strength to pursue righteousness even when it is difficult.
