I'm sitting here at work, looking at a camera feed outside, as I weigh trucks in and out. There's a tree outside, but I can't see it. It's off camera. What I can see is the deep purple shade of the top limbs, on the ground. It's windy here, and the pattern looks like it's dancing, having blast.

It occurred to me that the Holy Spirit moves us like that, as God takes over the day, moving us as He will, even as we stand still where He planted us... and that others see how we move with it... never our thoughts or intentions.

Sometimes our true nature is 'off camera' and all others see is our reactions to the storms of life. Storms will always blow, but I want to dance with the Holy Spirit's leading as easily, fluidly, and continually, as those branches in the breeze, leaving my shadow on the barrenness around me, so others can be inspired, as well.

I noticed with the shadow, it's not worried about its size, color, age, or productivity. It doesn't matter to a shadow. It's but a measure in the moment of how the tree was moving. The tree was unseen, but the effects of the wind (spirit) was not. Many times, in our ministry, we are unseen too... but the effects of the Spirit are not.

How freely are you moving with the wind today? Drop a comment. Confession is good for the soul.

Raise a hand, if you want to freely dance with Him, from now till the end
