Paul declares that the life he now lives is by the faith of Jesus Christ — not just his own faith. It is Christ’s faith in us that empowers us to live for Him every day. When we become believers, we do not just inherit a set of beliefs or a list of rules; we inherit the life of Christ in us. The faith we live by is His faith — the same faith that brought Him through death and into resurrection. It’s humbling to think that our faith is not based on our ability to be perfect, but on Christ’s perfect love for us. He loved you first, and now His faith empowers you to live the life He has called you to live. This means your victory, your strength, and your courage don’t come from yourself. They come from the One who gave Himself for you.
