the LDS church fills my social media with ads and publicity, claiming to be christians and talk about Jesus. I have been on a mission myself, and I can give my testimony about one thing, the LDS missionaries are NOT offering the true baptism of Christ. Before you even get the privilege to enter the waters, you have to follow a set of lessons to make sure you put your faith in Joseph Smith, additionnally to your faith in Jesus Christ, as if Jesus was missing something, and needed Joseph Smith to complete his finished work (such blasphemy!). After those lessons, you have to pass an interview, answer a few questions to make sure of a couple of things : 1st : you believe in Joseph Smith, because if you don't... then you won't believe in their "current" joseph smith that they call a prophet and a president. 2nd: they make sure you will not drink acohol or coffee from now on and will attend the weekly sunday meetings. 3rd that you have never killed anyone before or have some kind of criminal record (I joke you not!)
This is because your name is entered in their books (the book of life is not enough for them) so they have "numbers" to show off every other general conference, because it is managed and operated like a Multi level Marketing company. Basically, the missionaries are SALESMEN for their Mormon Membership.
