If Lot had not insisted…
The angels would have remained in the square
Genesis 19:2 shows they first intended to stay outside. That place was unsafe. Lot’s insistence moved them from exposure to covering. Cover some people this year, they might be your angels (saviors)
Insistence was the bridge between danger and safety.
Lot’s household may not have been positioned for rescue
The salvation of Lot’s family did not start with fire from heaven—it started with HOSPITALITY and OBEDIENCE.
If he had been passive, his house might not have been marked as the place of intervention.
Destiny can hinge on DISCERNMENT, not just righteousness
Lot was righteous (2 Peter 2:7), but righteousness alone didn’t act—DISCERNMENT did.
Many of us are righteous but miss moments because we don’t press in. This year, PRESS IN
Delay or politeness could have cost lives
Lot did not say, “If you like, you may come.”
He insisted strongly. Some moments don’t allow neutrality.
Silence in critical moments can become agreement with danger.
Me, I'll not agree with danger ooo haaa
God often works through human cooperation
God sent angels, but Lot had to open his door. So you see YOU must open the door
Heaven initiated—but earth had to respond.
What I've learnt:
What preserved Lot’s family was not just angelic power, but a man who refused to ignore urgency.
mmmm!!
May we not miss divine interventions because of hesitation, fear, or over-familiarity.
May we recognize when God is at our gate—and insist on His will for our households. Say Amen.
God bless you
