Evening Prayer
God of Israel,
On this peaceful night, we fully entrust ourselves to You.
First of all, we give You thanks for Your faithful protection throughout the entire day.
If we are still standing, it is by Your mercy alone.
As the prophet declared:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.”
We now place our night and our weekend into Your hands,
without fear, without doubt, and without hidden worries.
Even when our hearts have been tested,
we choose to hope in You,
for You remain our portion and our refuge.
Visit our thoughts, give rest to our souls,
calm our minds, and renew our strength.
May Your love surround us,
may Your peace guard us,
and may Your presence walk with us at all times.
We surrender to You with confidence and joy,
for the Lord is good to those who wait for Him.
