Your Vision - A deep spiritual truth Goals tell you what you want to achieve, but vision explains why you are moving and who you are becoming. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This verse is not just about planning. It speaks to spiritual direction. Without God’s vision, people lose restraint, purpose, and hope. Life becomes reactive instead of intentional. A God-given vision is different from personal ambition. It aligns your desires with God’s will and gives meaning to your actions. Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it plain, that he may run who reads it.” God’s vision brings clarity. It fuels movement. When vision is clear, faith becomes active, not passive. Vision also sustains faith during difficulty. Goals can collapse when circumstances change, but God’s vision keeps you steady. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Vision allows you to trust what God has spoken even before you see results.
