Fear has a voice and it’s loud.
It tells you you’re not ready, not worthy, not capable. It paints failure before you even begin. It convinces you that safety is better than growth, that comfort is better than calling.
But faith whispers differently.
It says, “You can do this.”
It says, “God is with you.”
It says, “Walk, even when you can’t see where the road leads.”
When Peter stepped out of the boat, the waves didn’t suddenly go calm. The storm didn’t stop just because he decided to move. The miracle didn’t begin until he took the step. That’s the secret; God meets you in motion.
Maybe you’re standing at that same edge right now; a new business, a big decision, a dream you’ve delayed because of fear. You’ve been waiting for perfect conditions, but there’s no such thing. Faith doesn’t wait for still waters; it walks on waves.
Fear looks at the storm.
Faith looks at Jesus.
Fear says, “What if I fall?”
Faith says, “What if I fly?”
Listen, courage doesn’t mean you never feel afraid. It means you don’t let fear be the driver anymore. You might feel shaky, unsure, even scared but walk anyway. Because the same God who called Peter onto the water is calling you too.
You may not know how it will work out, but you know Who’s in control.
And when you finally take that step of faith, you’ll discover something amazing. the waves you feared were never meant to drown you but to carry you closer to Him.
