Sometimes life feels like a storm; everything moving at once, problems coming from every side, and your heart just wants a moment of quiet. You try to stay strong, but deep inside, you just want peace.
But here’s the good news: God’s peace is not the absence of chaos, it’s His presence in the middle of it.
When the storm raged on the sea, and the disciples were terrified, Jesus didn’t need the storm to stop before He spoke peace. He stood right there, in the middle of the waves, and said, “Peace, be still.” (Mark 4:39).
And the storm obeyed.
That same voice still speaks today. Maybe your storm is emotional, financial, or spiritual, but Jesus is still saying, “Peace, be still.”
Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
That means even when nothing around you makes sense, you can still have peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
So today, stop trying to control everything. Breathe. Let go of what’s beyond your reach. Tell God, “Lord, I give it to You,” and let His peace take over.
You don’t have to have it all figured out, just trust the One who already does.
The storm may still be there, but your heart can be calm. Because when Jesus is in your boat, it doesn’t matter how strong the wind gets; you will not sink.
Hold your peace today. God’s got this.
And He’s got you.
