Christ our Lord, bringer of light unto the world, we pledge our service to you today and for the rest of our mortal days. Deliver us from evil, Lord, and bring us closer to the day that we shall stand next to you in eternal bliss. Lead us not into temptation, with the ability to recognize and withstand any sinful attempts at our soul. We ask to be absolved of the sins that we have committed; we have been weak in thine eyes, merciful Lord, and know that we do not deserve the love that you give to us.
