Message: Do Not Lose Heart

- In the book of Chronicles, the bible talks about King Asa. When he was leading the nation of Israel, they were not easy days.
- There was a lot of turmoil and chaos in those days.
- God said through the prophet Azariah:
- II Chronicles 15:7 NKJV
[7] But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”
- We're living in times when the economy is bad and we might soon cry about recession.
- The people of Israel were discouraged. They began to worship other gods and/or idols.
- When they turned away from God, He allowed them to go through these things.
- God gave them the word that if they sought His face, He would save them.
- Don't be weary because God has heard your prayers and your works are going to be rewarded.
- This life of Christianity is a long journey.
- If you can sit down and reflect on your life, compare the energy that you started with and the energy that you have now. You will realise that something is happening in your life.
- You will realise that your belief has been interrupted.
- The enemy has been targeting your faith.
- Everything that the devil does in this world is to fight faith.
- The Israelites had moved away from faith and directed their faith to objects that could be seen with their eyes.
- In our times we have seen people direct their faith to water, wristbands and all kinds of things.
- The people of God are losing heart.
- When the bible talks about the heart, it is not talking about the organ in your body but about the spirit man inside you.
- We might be perishing on the outside every day, but our inner man gets renewed every day.
- The God that we believed in in the beginning is still the same.
- To backslide is to turn away from the things that you used to do.
- If you were prayerful and you have stopped praying, were a giver and you stopped giving or your commitment in the house of God reduces then you have backslidden.
- This is caused by losing heart which is also called weariness. That is what the enemy wants.
- The God thay we serve today is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

- God didn't say that you will feel good every day.
- Even when you feel discouraged, it doesn't mean that God has left you.
- God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.
- There are those who believe in the word of God and those who agree with the word of God.

- The God that we serve is beyond our logic.
- Paul lived in the time of Nero who would put believers in the coliseum and unleash wild animals on them for the entertainment of the Romans.
- In his days, Christians would become apostate. They would completely renounce their faith.
- There was no backsliding at that time. There was no going back once you renounced your faith.
- When the Romans wanted torches at night, they would use the bones of Christians doused in oil to light the night.
- That was the persecution they went to during Paul's time.
- Do not lose heart. Let God renew you on the inside every day.
- Look unto Jesus.
- Jesus told Thomas, "Blessed are those who have not seen him but have believed."

- King Asa chose to believe in the word of God.
- The word of God shall not return empty. When it comes into our lives, it shall accomplish its purpose.
- God is not the son of man. He shall not change His mind.
- It is impossible that God would lie.
- Do not let your hands shake. Stay diligent.
- If you don't take the word of God, how are you going to fight the battles of life?
- The bible says through this prophetic word, thou shalt lodge thy war.
- You can never outgrow the things of God.
- After the prophet Elijah ran from Jezebel and was revived, great signs were shown to him.
- First came the fires, winds and earthquakes but Elijah could not find God in those things.
- Then came a very small, still voice. This is where the man of God found God.
- In the places that you did not think you would find God.
- You will find God in His word. God said that if you seek Him you will find Him.
- God will walk before you and fight your battles and you will receive victory from God.
- David said that if he had not chosen to believe in God's word, he would not have been victorious.
- Believe that you may see.
- Faith is the evidence of the things not seen.
- In faith, we do not move by logic.
- The problem is that we ignore the spirit man and we look for prophets to see for us.
- If you look for yourself according to the way that God wants us to see then we will see truly for ourselves.
- A young person who allows God to sharpen their spiritual eyes. You can wake up and say that you're going to get your job and meet the person who will hire you.

- When you're talking about a revival, we're not talking about the excitement.
