DR Congo -Nearly 43 people were killed Sunday, July 27th, 2025 in eastern Congo’s Ituri province when ADF rebels (Islamic State-backed rebels ) stormed a Catholic church during a vigil and opened fire on worshippers.

According to the UN mission known as MONUSCO, at least 43 people, including women and children, were confirmed dead in the church, while another five were killed in a nearby village.
