If there's anyone who should be on the other side assaulting the church today, I think I qualify. All the abuse and stigmatisation that I suffered was in church, perpetrated by church people. I've had a couple of emails since sharing my story of why I'm still a church girl, and my response is still going to be the same - I encountered Jesus for myself. Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me and embraced me in His everlasting love. He ministered to my heart and used a new crop of His faithful and true servants to undo what my church reverend and others did to me in church. It's the reason I won't follow you to leave this faith, no matter who you are or the exploits I've seen through you in the body of Christ. My conviction of this Truth made flesh is unshakable.
