Bible versions: Why are there so many different transitions of the Bible.
Disclaimer: I am not a KJV onliest, However, some Translations I believe have been published just for the sake of the dollar. This in and of itself is sinful. Jesus Himself said that certain people make merchandise for the exploitation of the church. I won't make a list of the ones I think do this, but there are a handful. While I like the ESV there are way to many updates to it's text. I am a proponent of the NKJV personality. The text hasn't been updated or revised since the mid 80's. Nor is there a plan to. It is also faithful to the original language also. As the people of God we should boycott publishers who updated there Bible texts or create new ones just make a buck. Bible sales generate over half a billion $'s annually. Let's be discerning and use wisdom when it comes to spending our money and be good stewards of God's resources. Let's buy bibles from publishes that don't constantly update and revise there text just to make $.
