The collaboration combined frontend development with a custom backend integration layer enabling Alphawave to launch a product that not only looked great but performed with real-world precision.

Alphawave – Managing Cyber Exposure at Scale
Alphawave offers an attack surface management platform that helps organizations discover, monitor, and secure internet-facing assets. By continuously tracking software inventories and third-party risks, the platform gives security teams the real-time visibility they need to reduce exposure and act faster.
THE CHALLENGE
Bringing Design to Life with Real-Time Interaction
Alphawave had a newly designed interface but their existing frontend application was outdated and not aligned with the current product vision. Meanwhile, the backend was built for internal batch reporting, not for live dashboards. Analysts needed responsive, connected tools, but the system lacked the technical structure to support that kind of experience.
To bridge that gap, Alphawave needed:
- A middleware API to reformat and paginate backend data
- A component library to ensure consistency and reuse across the interface
- A new frontend application built from scratch to deliver a responsive, modern user experience
- Real-time interactivity with fast loading and smooth UX even under large data loads
- Support for custom tenant branding to serve enterprise clients with flexibility

We joined forces with Alphawave’s internal team, working in two-week sprints to stay aligned and move fast.
Team & Process
- Four LoopStudio engineers partnered directly with Alphawave’s product leads
- We participated in bi-weekly sprint reviews, ensuring constant feedback loops
- Priorities were refined sprint by sprint, keeping both sides in sync with the product’s direction
Frontend Development
- We translated their new UI into a fast, reusable React component system
- Used Storybook to document the library—ensuring consistency, testing, and future scalability
Middleware Implementation
- Built a custom middleware API with Node.js and Express
- Transformed backend responses into lightweight, frontend-ready data
- Implemented caching and pagination
- Enabled real-time linking between charts and tables
- Built-in support for tenant-specific branding and large dataset streaming—without blocking the UI
