This is quite wonderful! Of course the requests start pouring in…like: Full or bigger screen mode? I want to capture this!! π It’s wonderful as is though. Really nice work Ziv. Bravo.
Feel free to email me – ziv at loopopmusic.com – note however that it’s not a downloadable app, but rather you run it on this page in the browser. To see it you need to be in the WaveShaper tier
Wowzas!! haha..
This is dope Ziv. You have a wonderful mind and I appreciate the gifts you bestow upon us here! Thank you for doing this, helpful and mesmerizing at the same time!πΈ
A very interesting web app, although quite CPU-intensive. It would be interesting if the 3D view could be resized independently on the X and Y axes, so as to better adapt the display to different situations.
Thanks! You can adjust the X axis by changing the width of your browser and the Y axis by adding gain. Regarding CPU I found Chrome to be the best so far just in case you weren’t using it
Hey! Love the Scope! For some reason today it did not pick up my Interface Input 3/4. It just reacted to the input of my Mic. It was working perfectly fine the other day. It is supposed to pick up on all inputs on the interface right?
Glad you like it! Actually, it’s not supposed to pick up on all the inputs, just on the first two, unless you’re on Firefox or Windows and your interface’s input pairs show up independently. Which OS and browser are you using?
Ah I understand! Iam using Mac and Chrome. I realized that before it might have picked up on my Mic via the speakers. I use the scope to show signal processing with my synth while streaming that is why I use Input 1/2 for my Mics and 3/4 is connected to a Mixer that is summing up all signals as the synth itself. Is there another way to make it work with the other inputs? π
No unfortunately, not an easy way. Here’s a less easy way: Download BlackHole – it’s a free virtual audio cable. Then route audio using your DAW (or any other audio routing app) to Blackhole channels 1 and 2. You can then pick those up in the browser. Unfortunately, Chrome on Mac only detects the first two audio channels on an audio device.
Nice I actually have Blackhole! I will try! Thanks so much! I will give feedback if interestred!

For sure!

Hey hey back again. So I tried to use Blackhole, but it is not that easy, because I have a complicated setup for my streaming setup. I am using my Scarlett 4i4 Interface, Blackhole and my Capture Card in a shared audio device in order to send a sum mix from Ableton via this Capture Card 1-2 Channel Stereo to my Streaming Computer. My interface occupies channel 1-6, Blackhole and the Capture Card the following. Yes, a lot of working around. I hope that I could root the Scope to Blackhole and Blackhole dedicates the signal to my Interface Channel 1 + 2, but as far as I understand that is not possible. Maybe you have another work around. I know that this exceeds you intention with the Scope, but I really loved to implement is in my streams as Sound Design viusalization and I really love the look and functions. Maybe there is still a way.

I get a message saying “an embedded page at apps.loopopmusic.com says could not access the selected audio device”
hmmm – you’re the first to report it not working on Chrome. I actually developed it using Chrome on MacOS Sequoia. Perhaps you didn’t give the page permission when it first loaded? In that case your browser may be blocking the site from using your audio hardware.
1. Check the Address Bar: Look for a camera or microphone icon with a red ‘X’ or a Lock icon next to the URL.
2. Reset Permissions: Click the Lock icon -> Site settings -> Reset permissions.
3. Allow Sound: Ensure “Sound” is set to Allow rather than “Automatic” or “Mute”.
4. Refresh, delete cache and try again… perhaps reinstall/reset Chrome?
What makes most sense to me is that you didn’t give permissions when prompted – do you remember a pop up asking for it?
Thanks Loopop, That was it. I had to go into system settings and allow chrome to access the microphone. That promted the proper permission dialogue on restart and now the apollo is recognized. When trying to pass audio, should I be able to play youtube and system audio. I assume that it is picking up my main outputs channel 1-2? In my case I run Virtual 1-2 as my first 2 output channels so that I can run system audio though Console. I realize I may be getting confused about inputs and outputs here, so I’ll keep playing with it.
Glad to hear it’s working! Processing computer audio is a bit trickier than just plugging a synth into input 1 and 2 of your chosen device and selecting it in my app. Download BlackHole β itβs a free virtual audio cable. Then route audio to it using your DAW (or any other audio routing app) to Blackhole channels 1 and 2. You can then pick those up in my app in a browser.
So I loaded up Ultra in standalone. It plays through my virtual 1-2 by default. I can hear it but no audio is passing through the scope. Also I’m trying to get new 2D multiscopes going as well. I’m at the same point there as well. I don’t think output 1-2 will work because those are actually assigned to channel 3-4 in the I/O matrix. Not a huge fan of UA logic. I’d post a screenshot if I could.
Thanks for all your help by the way as I know your busy. I am super excited about these tools! I can’t believe I slept on the 3D scope only getting a clue when you emailed everyone about the new 2D scopes recently. I’ll be watching the videos for sure when they drop.
Ok, Got it working. I needed to loop OUT 1-2 back into IN 1-2. I usually have that I/o running to a pair of mic pres. Neato! Both 2D and 3D working as they should.
Looking forward to your videos even more now that I can play along. :^D
Got Blackhole doing its thing too so I guess I’m dialed. Still gonna watch the vids though. I was worried that an aggregate device might mess with cpu performance, but I guess not an issue with an app like Blackhole with no latency Added as far as I can tell.
One Question, Will it always be necessary to allow third party integration to access the apps on browser launch? I’m logged into to both this site and patreon, but need to allow access everytime I launch the browser.
Hey – that’s the current integration the Patreon supports as far as I know. However, it’s not asking me to do anything once I’m logged in, even if I relaunch the browser. Perhaps you’ve got cookies disabled? Are you blocking third-party cookies? Some browsers have that on by default. If you have high security/privacy settings, browser extensions, or private mode enabled, cookies that keep you logged in will be cleared. You should be able to solve this by allowing cookies for both sites, mine and Patreon.com.
I allowed both patreon and your site to use third party cookies which was the only thing left to try. Didn’t work. I remain signed into both sites on relaunch so I don’t think that’s it. Maybe something will come to light later.
Hey, thanks for this. Great fun. Be great if one could save settings (just screen-grabbing slider placement for now).
But thanks again.
cheers,
Simon
Glad you like it! Good idea, presets added π

Thanks! Perfectly reasonable requests – both full screen and presets added
Oh…and saving settings. That would be nice. π

Hey – quite a few people have used this successfully – perhaps try firefox or another browser? Which OS are you on?
MAc OS Seqioua 15.7.3
looking to make sure nothing is blocked now.
Got Firefox to work with the input right away. Not sure what’s with Chrome.
