Loop Industries Sells First Technology License To Reed Societe Generale Group

Highlights

Methanolysis—With a Twist

Our patented methanolysis process does what others can't. It breaks down PET and polyester fiber at low temperature, with no added pressure. It's a cleaner, simpler way to unlock the core building blocks of polyester—and a better starting point for circularity at scale.

+

100% recycled content, guaranteed

No mass-balance accounting. No partial claims. Every pound of Loop products is made entirely from recycled waste, giving partners and consumers full confidence in the material’s traceable circularity—verified and real.

+

One Technology. Multiple Loops.

Infinite Loop™ stands apart as a single, versatile platform that enables true circularity in both PET packaging and polyester fiber markets—two sectors traditionally treated as separate. While most technologies specialize in one or the other, Loop delivers virgin-quality recycled material for garments, textiles, packaging and beyond—proving that one solution can close multiple loops.

+

Infinitely Recyclable

Our process rebuilds PET & polyester to virgin-quality every time, making endless recycling possible without material loss or quality degradation.

+

Reduced Environmental Impact

By eliminating the need for fossil-based PET & polyester and minimizing energy use, Infinite Loop™ significantly cuts greenhouse gas emissions compared to virgin polyester production—delivering measurable climate benefits at every cycle.

+

Protected Innovation, Built for the World

Globally patented in over 80 countries. Wherever brands and industries are ready to close the loop, our solution is ready to scale.

Loop's Production Facility

Loop’s Production facility in Quebec has been operating continuously for over five years, combining production, full R&D capabilities, and feedstock characterization. It supplies next-gen PET & polyester to global brands and has proven its resilience through Quebec’s hot summers and freezing winters. Validated by multiple independent third parties, the facility de-risks scale-up and confirms Infinite Loop™ technology is ready for global deployment.

Infinite Loop™ India

Loop’s first international expansion in India will set a new standard for circular PET & polyester, enabling large-scale packaging-to-packaging & textile-to-textile recycling, converting discarded materials into virgin-quality resin—ready to power the next generation of products. Strategically located in one of the world’s largest textile hubs, the facility is designed to generate 70kta of output, maximize resource recovery, and significantly reduce the carbon footprint of PET & polyester production. Infinite Loop™ India marks a major step forward in closing the loop for the global textile and packaging sectors.

About us

Loop partnered with Reed Societe Generale Group to commercialize its technology across Europe. The joint venture, Infinite Loop Europe, will build the region’s first Infinite Loop™ facility. Reed Societe Generale Group became the first European licensee, with an initial €10 million payment, future milestone-based payments and a €10 million investment into Loop. This collaboration combines Loop’s technology with Reed Societe Generale Group’s financial backing to scale circular manufacturing. Loop will also provide engineering support and retains supplemental co-investment rights in future facilities to expand impact across the region.
