The Clean Energy Transition process in 6 small European municipalities will be accelerated through the LOCAL GoGREEN project

LOCAL GoGREEN empowers local authorities and builds their capacities to deliver, implement, and monitor ambitious short and medium-term plans for accelerating the Clean Energy Transition and achieve the 2030 targets. The project will establish a transnational ecosystem of knowledge sharing paving the way to sustainable energy communities through CAPACITY BUILDING, PARTICIPATORY DECISION MAKING AND COLLABORATIVE ACTIONS for the design and implementation of integrated climate and energy plans.

THE PROJECT IN NUMBERS

General Objectives

Provide technical assistance to local pilots in a comparable transnational framework that will contribute multilevel and multisector expertise in renewable energy integration planning, transition budgets and funding instruments.

Improve synergies among public and private stakeholders in implementing integrated climate and energy measures at local level

Facilitate the deployment of targeted investments provided by the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF)and IFIs for improved ICEP planning

Replicate and upscale the integrated measures for CET through transnational municipal cooperation

Enable green and circular climate and inclusive decarbonisation plans that support sustainable development
