In 1985, the couple formed by Josefa Egea and Joan Planellas began creating lamps with their own designs, becoming pioneers in the integration of halogen technology into their luminaires.
After several years of growth and evolution, in 2000, one of the founders’ sons, Toni Planellas, took the reins and decided to transform the business by betting on what was then the emerging LED technology. This bold move towards innovation, technology and sustainability would forever shape the future of Lluria.
Today, more than two decades later, we continue to illuminate spaces with the same passion, commitment and values. At Lluria, we don’t just design lighting systems, we create unique and sustainable atmospheres, where you take center stage.
Our vision for the future goes beyond lighting. For us, true sustainability is built through quality. That’s why we develop long-lasting products backed by an eight-year warranty, reducing environmental impact through technical excellence. We are also proud to hold the ISO 14001 environmental certification and to be pioneers in the use of recyclable aluminium and sustainable packaging.
Our responsibility also extends to the social sphere. Because to illuminate is, ultimately, to improve people’s lives. That’s why we collaborate with organizations such as the Pasqual Maragall Foundation and the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, both dedicated to medical research, as well as with Taller Alborada, a workshop that promotes job inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. These partnerships strengthen our values, purpose and reason for being.
