About Me

Trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth. It’s other people who tell us what we are like from their attitude and behaviour towards us. We aren’t going to be liked by everyone but that’s okay. Not everyone will understand what our life is about but that’s okay too. We’re here to live our lives, not to make others understand it.

I can lift a fully grown horse above my head and hold my breath for 10 minutes underwater. I can see for 3 miles unaided by a lens and I’m impervious to pain. I once swam unaided across the Atlantic Ocean with my hands tied together. I have beaten a man from every race in formal combat including a Pygmy Siamese Twin, a rare Deep Water Jew and a Three Legged Juggler. A Doctor, a Rabbi, 3 Shaman and my mother have all signed a document to confirm I have no soul. I can go 14 days without sleep and I once beat Batman in an arm wrestle.

What I enjoy most

Researching Medication 💊

The first time I had an appointment with the psychiatrist I was told to become an expert in myself and my bipolar. So as I had a good understanding of chemistry I started looking at the medication used and the mode of action it displayed and worked backwards in a way to see if it was correlating with a certain pattern of symptoms that could explain my baseline issues.

In my spare time

• I’m teaching myself Portuguese 🇵🇹 and Spanish 🇪🇸 language

🇵🇹 Estou aprendendo português sozinho!

🇪🇸 ¡Estoy aprendiendo español por mi cuenta!

• I play the acoustic guitar (I really wish I could pick it up more often but for some reason I can’t)

• I read. I like philosophers who have a different perspective that I can understand better from about life. Alan Watts is my personal favourite.

• I have started to play golf again. I have had a 12 year hiatus from playing but one of my best mates is a golf pro who has been giving me some lessons. I used to play off a handicap of 7 so I would be ecstatic to achieve that again 🏌🏻⛳️

• I enjoy listening to music and especially the band Oasis. I have a eclectic taste in music from Dire Straits to Prodigy and Nirvana to James Brown

• Writing my blogs and articles for the Mighty community for mental health. I hope to keep up with the regular blogs and articles and not be sporadic or inactive on them. Also, if anyone wants to check out ‘the Mighty’ it’s a great community for people with any kind of illness. People are always so supportive and they are able to relate to you and understand.
