Indiana

Ah, Indiana. This Midwestern gem offers residents – or as they prefer to be called, Hoosiers – a full, vibrant life.

Home to some of the greatest sports figures of all time (ahem, Larry Bird, AKA “The Hick from French Lick”), living in Indiana means cheering for home teams like the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. And you might have heard of a little race held here called the Indianapolis 500. If these aren’t already enough of a draw, the Circle City has also hosted the Super Bowl and Big Ten Tournament.

Speaking of college, the area boasts numerous high-quality education institutions, like Purdue, IU, Notre Dame and Ball State University, readying the next generation of teachers, doctors and engineers, just to name a few. And with top employers like Eli Lilly, Cummins, Calumet Testing Services and Steel Dynamics here, residents are sure to have their pick of jobs.

Outside of work, Hoosiers have all they need to relax and have fun, as the state is home to a number of state parks, 900 lakes and a plethora of dining and drinking options. Plus, the rumors you’ve heard about Indiana’s Midwest charm are spot on – talk about some friendly folks.
