Current Faction
The 15th faction of Lijst Bèta holds three seats in the Central Student Council for the 2025/2026 academic year. Together, they represent the interests of all TU Delft students towards employees and the Executive Board of the university. They are assisted by a faction support who manages tasks and functions within the party.

For the student council, it is important to know what is being decided in The Hague, why, and, where possible, influence the decision-making process. We are closely involved with national organizations to maintain a connection to the national discussions on education.
Though it may not mean much to the everyday lives of students, university policy shapes our institution and sets the tone for the entire community. Because of this, we are involved in giving feedback on policy and ensuring student interests are represented in decision-making.
Future-proof engineers start with future-proof education. This is why at Lijst Bèta we believe that there should be more attention for sustainability throughout all curricula at TU Delft.
Only receiving high-quality education is not enough to start your entrepreneurship journey. Students with innovative ideas should be facilitated by the university to be able to bring and present their unique solutions to the world. This is exactly what we at Lijst Bèta strive for!
Oversee and manage all financial matters of the university to ensure sustainable, transparent, and strategic use of resources. This includes guiding the institution’s financial direction through the approval and monitoring of annual budgets, evaluating and implementing strategic financial initiatives, and advising on necessary budget adjustments or cuts in alignment with institutional priorities. The role also encompasses the development, assessment and right of approval of multi-year financial forecasts to support long-term planning, risk management, and informed decision-making across the university.

International students can face very different challenges when coming to TU Delft compared to their Dutch counterparts. There must be special attention for the needs and concerns of these students in order for them to thrive at TU Delft.
Lijst Bèta thinks that education should be more than just sitting in a lecture hall, listening to someone reading from a PowerPoint presentation. We are actively looking into how new education methods, such as blended learning and interdisciplinary projects, can strengthen the TU Delft education.
Education often begins with the lecturer, so it is vital that TU Delft continuously pursues opportunities for lecturers to improve their teaching. Life Long Learning programs or improvements to the basic qualification for education (BKO) are important aspects of teacher quality.

For students seeking more challenges outside their studies, it is important that TU Delft facilitates them with supplementary courses to help them achieve further goals. This can be in the form of Honors Programs offered at various faculties.
TU Delft holds a prominent position in the global academic community, which attracts students and researchers from all over the world. It is, therefore, crucial that the university manages internationalization in a sustainable manner that ensures we still provide a high-quality education.

Wellbeing is hugely important for all students. During the corona pandemic we saw just how incredibly important wellbeing really is. Lijst Beta wants to make steps towards a student culture where wellbeing is valued from the moment you sign up to study at this university
Student housing is where it all starts. Every student should have a house where they feel at home and safe. With Lijst Bèta we want to work towards completing this goal!
As head of design I am responsible for the design of all the instagram posts that you see, but also for a part of our website and for our Faction Sheets which occur once a month.
It’s impossible to escape the need for IT services at TU Delft; it is a vital aspect of studying. We work with the IT department on projects that directly impact education. We are giving feedback on plans for Brightspace and proposing new functionalities to make the platform even better for students. Furthermore, we are investigating the possibilities of Grammarly and Adobe licenses for students.

Social safety is of course a very important topic and hence one of the pillars of Lijst Bèta. We want to make sure that TU Delft is a safe environment for everybody.
Everyone’s education can be improved by bringing more perspectives and experiences to the table. TU Delft is a very diverse community of people and we want to do our utmost to ensure that everyone feels welcome here.
Lijst Bèta believes that it is the duty of the university to educate engineers who can deal with the challenges of tomorrow. Climate change is one of these problems. We also want to work towards a TU Delft that leads by example and create a more sustainable campus. In addition to this we believe that there should be more attention for sustainability throughout all curricula at TU Delft.
Campus facilities encompasses every physical aspect of the campus, from study places to catering facilities, lecture halls, and even traffic flow on campus. Having the right facilities ensures you can study in the way that works for you.
