Education
M.S.: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Seoul National University, South Korea (2023)
B.E.: Civil Engineering, Yeungnam University, South Korea (2021)
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Connecticut. My doctoral research focuses on the hydrological impacts of beaver dams in the New England region. In particular, I study groundwater-surface water interactions through a model-data integration approach, combining field observations with computational modeling.

Education
M.S.: Geology, Kansas State University (2024)
B.Tech.: Applied Geology, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria (2019)
My Ph.D. research combines hydrology and computational geosciences with my passion for water-related issues. I focus on integrating different hydrologic techniques, including data-driven and numerical models, to characterize groundwater systems and sustainably manage water resources.
Undergraduate Students

Emily Rochette (she/her)
Undergraduate Student, Earth Sciences
emily.rochette@uconn.edu
I am a senior pursuing my B.S. in Geoscience and am enrolled in the Accelerated Master's program for Earth and Environmental Sciences. My academic interests focus on groundwater to surface water interactions and temperature variability. I also have professional experience in wildlife conservation, herpetology, paleontology, and environmental education. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, and skiing.

Jacob Gorman (they/them)
Undergraduate Student, Earth Sciences & Computer Science
jacob.gorman@uconn.edu
I am a junior currently pursuing a dual degree in Earth Sciences (B.S.) and Computer Science with a concentration in Computational Data Analytics. I'm interested in hydrology, statistics, and data visualization. I love Olivia Rodrigo and knitting!
Alumni and Previous Research Group Members

Amber Caruso
Undergraduate Student, Environmental Engineering
amber.caruso@uconn.edu
Hello, I'm Amber, and I am an Undergraduate Researcher in the Earth Sciences Department. I'm a junior studying Environmental Engineering and an Alum from the EcoHouse Learning Community as a Floor Mentor and an Alum from the Office of Sustainability as a Sustainable Outreach Coordinator. I am interested in hydrology, hydrogeology, groundwater systems, and environmental modelling. I am a member of FFFU, Outing Club, Beekeeping Club, and the American Academy of Environmental Engineering and Sciences (AAEES). In my free time, I enjoy reading and crocheting.
