LifeShapes is a collection of shapes with each shape representing a teaching of Jesus or principle from his life that serve as the foundation of a Discipling language around which a Discipleship culture can be built. Mike Breen started developing LifeShapes in the early 1980’s. People become familiar with LifeShapes spending time in a life-on-life relationship with someone that is investing in them as a disciple. After a year in such a discipling relationship (such as a Huddle), people are able to use LifeShapes to recall Jesus' Words, Works, and Ways, and to apply them to their lives and to the lives of people around them. The LifeShapes App is a reference guide for the LifeShapes Discipleship language. The app allows interactive review of each of the LifeShape structures in graphical form. Additional Scripture, Shape, Story (SSS) information can be viewed for most shapes as well. Some of the LifeShapes include their "Shadow" copy, which helps identify the false copies of Christ's Truths. Many of the LifeShapes include handy variations that we have encountered in our Discipleship practices, or as handed down by our Huddle leaders to us.

New shapes have been added and all shapes now have Description, Scripture and Story entries. 3.0 11/19/2022 Bug fixes: eliminates freeze when closing a Detail page. Detail pages are now shown as a pop-over and will close via down swipe. Fixed layout issues with "Share Your Story" buttons. 2.1 02/29/2020 Added all-new content for the 5-capitals concepts, using a pyramid for the Shape. Fixed minor content errors. 2.0 12/30/2017 **** All new "Share YOUR Story" feature on the Info pages for each shape will take the user to a web page where they can share Kairos moments or stories about their discipleship journey using LifeShapes. Added a new Shadow Circle shape that shows/describes how people may back away from a Kairos (rather than allowing God to meet them where they are) and to illustrate the sin-management approach to negative Kairos (Fix, Fail, Fatigue, repeat). Updated to fix some crashes and some content issues, as well as compatibility from iOS8 to iOS10. 1.3 01/04/2017 Fixed a few minor formatting errors. Added Resources to the main page (click the info button) to define LifeShapes, provide links for purchasing the book "Building a Discipling Culture", added an email address for App Support, and added several Copyright references where needed. 1.2 03/10/2016 1.0 02/24/2016
