Prepare for an unforgettable journey as the LifeCycle Changamoto Challenge 2026 takes you across the stunning landscapes of Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda.
Spanning 10 days of cycling and 2,000 km of spectacular
terrain, this challenge will test your endurance, push your limits, and reward you with breathtaking sights and unforgettable memories.
The journey begins in Mombasa, andf you’ll cycle through the dramatic land scapes of Tsavo via Voi and Makindu, before climbing to the highlands near Nairobi at Kiserian. From there, the route takes you through Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, passing through the stunning lakeside city of Nakuru and Eldoret.
Crossing into Uganda at Mbala, you’ll traverse the rolling hills through Lyan tonde before reaching the breathtaking mountain scenery around Kabale. Each stretch presents unique challenges, from coastal plains to highland climbs and verdant valleys, enidng in the inspiring city of Kigali. Along the way, you’ll encounter diverse wildlife, lush tea plantations, and the warm hospitality of East Africa, ensuring every kilometre is as rewarding as it is challenging
Expect a mix of terrains throughout the challenge, ranging from humid coastal roads and savannah plains to mountainous climbs and winding highland routes. The diverse landscapes will challenge your cycling skills, from endurance on long stretches through the Rift Valley to technique on the steep ascents into Rwanda’s hills.
