The FDU Library Liaison Program pairs librarians with academic departments and support units to offer specialized support for research, teaching, and access to resources, helping faculty and students make the most of what the library has to offer. The Liaison Program provides the following key services:
Information Literacy Instruction
The Library offers tailored library instruction sessions designed with the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy to help students develop skills in finding, evaluating, and using information. Faculty can request an instruction session by submitting a Library Instruction Request Form.
Collection and Resource Development
The Library actively develops and maintains collections that align with the curriculum and needs of the FDU community. This includes purchasing books and eBooks, making Course Reserves available, and creating customized Course Guides to ensure that students and faculty have access to the most relevant resources for their fields.
Research Support
Librarians work closely with students and faculty to develop effective search strategies and locate reliable resources. To set up a one-on-one research appointment, please reach out to your liaison librarian directly or fill out an Appointment Request Form.
Open Educational Resources (OER)
Librarians assist faculty in finding, evaluating, and/or developing Open Educational Resources for their courses. Learn more about OER in our Open Educational Resources (OER) Guide.
