Governor Ned Lamont has proclaimed April as Community College Month in Connecticut, recognizing the role of Connecticut State Community College in expanding affordable higher education and career training for nearly 65,000 students each year across its 12 campuses.

• As many as 90% of CT community college students stay in the region initially after they leave college and contribute to the local economy.
• After leaving college, the average CT community college student will spend 33 years in the workforce.
• The average associate degree graduate from CT State will earn $11,900 more each year than someone with a high school diploma.
