Fishbowl Group Study Space (1-15 people)
Fishbowl group study spaces for up to 15 people, located on the 1st and 4th floors, have a table, chairs, a whiteboard, and a TV that can be connected to a laptop. Fishbowls remain locked and require you to check out a key from the 1st floor Checkout Desk after making your reservation.

Sandbox Technology and Studios
Reserve the Sandbox Creatorspace's technology, located on the 1st floor of McWherter Library, including Prusa 3D printers, a Glowforge laser cutter, and a Cricut smart cutter (orientations are required beforehand).
Reserve Sandbox Studios, located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors, for podcasting, audio and video recording, and more.
Graduate Student Study Carrels (McWherter Library)
Graduate Student Study Carrels
Private graduate student study carrels, located on the 3rd and 4th floors of McWherter Library, can be reserved by UofM graduate students for one semester. Review the policy to learn more and request a carrel by filling out the application form (both linked below).
Short-term Study Carrels (McWherter Library)
Short-Term Study Carrels
Short-term study carrels, located on the 3rd floor of McWherter Library, are available to check out for 4-hour, 1-day, 3-day and 7-day periods. Carrels can only be used by one person at a time and are available on a first come first served basis. Keys can be checked out at the 1st floor Checkout Desk. Students must wait 24 hours after returning a carrel key before checking out another one. The fine for an overdue carrel key is $10.00 per hour or portion of an hour. Carrel key replacement is $50.00 for any key lost or not returned.
The Serenity Room (McWherter Library)
The Serenity Room
Located on the 3rd floor of McWherter Library, the Serenity Room is intended for individual meditation, yoga, spiritual practice, or quiet reflection. It is equipped with yoga mats, LED candles, and more.
Testing Room (McWherter Library)

Located on the 4th floor of McWherter Library, the Testing Room is a quiet, private space intended for individual test-taking.

Noise Zones (McWherter Library)
Noise Zones
All spaces in McWherter Library have a designated Noise Zone to accommodate group work or quiet study.
- A Collaborative Zone is where normal-volume conversation is allowed. This zone includes the 1st floor and all group study spaces.
- A Quiet Zone is where low-volume conversation is allowed. This zone includes the 2nd floor book stacks and the majority of the 3rd floor.
- A Silent Zone is where no conversation is allowed. This zone includes the majority of the 4th floor.

Not sure how to reserve a space?
- On the reservation page, BLUE indicates availability. Click on a blue section during a day and time you prefer.
- The section will turn yellow and the times you select will pop up at the bottom of the page.
- Once you select SUBMIT, you will see the space or technology's booking details, which you should read carefully.
- Click CONTINUE and provide your name and UofM email, then click Submit My Booking. You will receive a confirmation email.
