About the Hackathon
Lex Hackathon, or LexHack, is a hackathon where students of all programming abilities compete to develop unique problem-driven applications. Run entirely by high school students, LexHack aims to provide students with more opportunities to practice, display, and implement computer programming skills throughout the hackathon. Entry is free and you can win different prizes as well as attend our workshops run by industry professionals.
The theme has been announced ~ Adaptable Automation
Create a piece of software that automates any part of your town or community. Please provide some context of the original problem you are trying to solve. :)
Requirements
Submission Criteria:
- Submissions should include both a video and source code
- The video should be at most 3 minutes long and explain both the technical and thematic portions of your project
- Only one submission will be accepted per team
- Each project must follow the specific theme of the hackathon
Teams failing to adhere to these standards will not be considered for prizes.

1st Place
Includes a $500 gift card and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
2nd Place
Includes a $300 gift card and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
3rd Place
Includes a $200 gift card and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
Best Solo Hack
Includes a $175 gift card and $375 in licenses
Best Beginner Hack
Includes a $150 gift card, $50 in AoPs gift cards, and up to $ 1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
Best Social Impact
Includes a $125 gift card and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
Most Innovative
Includes a $125 gift card and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
Best Presentation
Includes a $125 gift card, $50 of AoPs coupons, and up to $1500 in licenses depending on the number of team members
