I truly believe that the family of the President or candidate running for President should be respected and left alone. Whether it is Laura, Jenna or Barbara Bush; whether it is Chelsea Clinton; whether it is Cindy, Douglas, Andrew, Sidney, Meghan, John, James or Bridget McCain; whether it is Michelle, Malia or Sasha Obama – the families should be left alone, they are not fair game.
When I go to business functions and have to take my significant other it is ALWAYS painful for him. My significant other doesn’t want to be there, but he loves me so he grins and bears it, and smiles, and makes small talk and shakes hands – for me. When it’s my turn to reciprocate, I grin and bear it, and smile, and make small talk and shake hands – for him. We’re there in a supporting role because we love each other, we’re committed to each other and because we are dependable people. Can you imagine someone attacking your significant other because of a decision you made at work? How crazy would that be?
