Alberta
Additional Requirements
Youth Internships with CAREERS Alberta
Based in Calgary and Edmonton (with province-wide reach), this program is designed for high school students ready to explore real careers.
What to expect:
- Online foundational training in Building Materials fundamentals
- Wage funding may be fully or partially covered
- Programs typically run June–August
- Mentorship from experienced professionals
- Hands-on exposure to multiple departments
- Job shadowing and on-site rotations
This is your chance to test drive a career and get paid while doing it.
Saskatchewan
Additional Requirements
School Credit + Career Experience
In partnership with Scott Collegiate, students can complete internships as part of their graduation requirements.
What to expect:
- Work in pairs on-site with real companies
- Potential wage funding available
- Gain both high school credits and work experience
- Learn what it’s like to work in the industry

Career Internships for Adults

We’re developing a new stream designed for adults ready for a fresh start.
If you’re a newcomer to Canada, transitioning careers, or looking to enter a stable, growing industry, this stream is built for you.
Planned features include:
- 3–6 month paid internships
- Focus on long-term employment after completion
- Opportunities across entry-level to professional roles
- 2 weeks of foundational skills training
We’re partnering with workforce organizations to make the transition into the building materials industry smooth and supported.

2025 Rising Star Internship Cohort Spotlight
