Why I Create…
Good day, friends…welcome to Leisure Lane!
I would like to share why I create: why I write; why I paint; why I open my heart to share the songs in my soul. I create for a couple of reasons. First, because it’s in me to do so. I create for my own soul’s joy, happiness, and expression. The product of inspiration is meant to be expressed. Second, I create because it is my desire to inspire, help, and encourage others. I truly believe, with all of my heart, that my stories and all I create can and will affect and change someone’s life in a profound and profitable way. Many times I create something as a gift for someone in order to brighten their day or a corner of their life…a little bit of me to them – one soul to another for joyous connection.
Do I like and desire to make money from what I create? Of course I do! Why not? I’m not ashamed of that. Money enables me to pay my bills, eat good foods, provide a roof over my head, and overall, live more comfortably; but, it also allows me to be a blessing to another who is having a momentary need. Money is a symbol of freedom that enables us to be ALL we desire to be. So, in a nutshell, that’s why I create, whether it’s a book, a painting, a greeting card, or simply a smile to let another know that their presence on this earth is acknowledged and appreciated. I hope this inspires you to create, as well, in whatever form or gifts God has given you.
Blessings, and Until next time…
May happy days abound!
