  • Otto Strakosch – king of shoemakers

    Our company was founded in 1872 by Bernhard Strakosch. The company flourished under his son Otto Strakosch. In his time he was considered the “king of shoemakers”. His women’s shoes – made of the finest silk, artfully embroidered, lined with leather, all the way to the very finest exquisite leather pumps – were delivered all over the world. Today, we are an international team of shoemakers and offer our collections under the superfit, legero and Think! brands in over 40 countries. legero united is growing sustainably and has an international presence with its own production facilities and sales companies.

legero offers casual women’s and Men’s shoes with a modern look and timeless design for every occasion. Comfort, lightness and sustainability are the most essential criteria in the design and manufacture of a collection with around 600 models. As early as at the initial design stage, even before the first sketch is produced, a target weight and a maximum carbon footprint is defined for each design in the collection in order to develop shoes that are as lightweight and eco-friendly as possible. Innovative technologies, carefully selected materials such as delicate leathers or airy textiles, a design with sophisticated functionalities and optimal cushioning properties guarantee customers the incomparably light legero wearing feeling. superfit is one of Europe’s leading children’s shoe brands, selling around 3.9 million pairs every year. The brand was founded in 1972 and is manufactured exclusively on lasts suitable for children. It offers slippers and street shoe collections for boys and girls from the first steps to about 12 years of age. superfit carries the quality seal of the German Shoe Institute (DSI), is a long-standing partner of the WMS® and has already received several awards from international specialist retailers and consumer associations. As a true pioneer of sustainability in the shoe industry, Think! has been offering sustainable, high-quality shoes with maximum comfort and exceptional design for women and men for more than 30 years. Almost all Think! models feature a modular footbed and are lined with chrome-free leather right up to the toe. Their extra-wide comfort lasts offer sufficient space in the toe area and ensure a natural rolling motion. The cork footbed makes each model particularly breathable and moisture-absorbing and provides optimal cushioning. Think! models are manufactured in 200 handcrafted steps. Only high-quality materials that meet strict environmental standards are used. Think!’s own repair service guarantees maximum durability.
