To ensure a smooth transition to a new Learning Management System, LTS will implement a change management strategy focused on communication, training, and stakeholder engagement. By aligning the transition with institutional goals and emphasizing transparency, the university will foster adaptability and collaboration throughout the change process.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, UIC will begin transitioning colleges and courses to Canvas. This Fall, we will start with a group of early adopters, and several colleges have been chosen to migrate to the new platform. This process will continue through the spring semester and into the summer, with the goal of using Canvas predominantly by Fall 2026.
