This course introduces the concept of safeguarding, the expected behaviour of Caritas workers, and the responsibility of Caritas organisations when it comes to safeguarding. It can be used as an introductory training or as a refresher course. All Caritas Internationalis Member Organisations are expected to ensure that all their staff, volunteers, interns and governance members take this course and sign their organisations’ safeguarding policies, including their Code of Conduct.

Introduction to Safeguarding

This course will help you:

Improve your understanding of the issues such as sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment.

Understand situations and circumstances where safeguarding issues can arise.

Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.
